Checking in from India. Barring the fog (omen?) that has wrapped itself around the city since early this morning, I see no signs of the impending apocalypse.

The Mayans were very advanced, the managed to predict the end of the world to the day thousands of years in the future, unfortunately they were unable to discern an exact time so they figured they'd allow for error and just give a somewhat ambiguous 24 hour window instead.


I'm sure somebody believes that anyway.

Today at band practice, my brother gave the the rundown on what really happened. Apparently, a buddy of the Mayan carving the calendar came up and said, "Hey Huehuetlotl, the tequila's ready. Wanna go pound down a couple?" Huehuetlotl says, "Well, I was working on this calendar, but if I don't get it done, I don't think it'll be the end of the world."

It would be easier to get people to go to shows....but dumbing people down to be guitarists and drummers might not be easy.....and then there's the politics of it all, there will be the metal half and the everybody else...
