2x15

But if you get a reflex or scooped single 15" you'd be getting lots of volume and subsonic wallop while defeating the portability point of a single 15". Behold the mighty Peavey 15SC. It seems very full range, responsive, punchy and loud with a nice subsonic kick. Not portable:

Plus the advantage that these are worth about $40 on the used market, saves some money.

I had the 2x15 and still have a B-115M (can't give them away).
When they came out, they were one of the best pro bass cabinets next to an SVT and Acosutic.
They sounded much better back then than they do now.
By today's standards, a TL606 with a 3015 is nearly as strong as the EV.
IMO/IME

I bought your EV 2x15 from you some years ago. It was a B215 not a B2150. I didn't realize there was a difference back then, since they look very similar to each other, but they are very different cabs. Not sure exactly the difference in cab size but the 2150 was deeper IIRC..... All I know is the B215 sounded anemic compared to the B2150. I sold the B215 not long after I got it from you. Wasn't any where near as smooth, fat, and round sounding as the B2150, Don't know about the TL606, no experience with those. YMMV

Hey man!
The one I had was called a B2115M

I never knew there was such a thing as a B2150; it must have had different drivers.

The only 2X15 I ever owned was an Eden 215-XLT. It was incredible. Like, REALLY incredible.
YES! That was a great sounding cab and they discontinued it for 2010, when David sold Eden to USM. I was pleased to see that P1515 even though it's a limited edition because I too like 215 cabs. I toured with a Standel piggy back amp back in the early 70's and it used a powered 215 cab that was absolutely killer back then.

I think the main difference between the P1515 and the D215XLT was just the frames on the speakers and the way they are mounted in the cab. The 15" Eden speakers in the XLT had a stamped steel frame whereas the P1515 has cast frames. The speakers on the P1515 also handle more power - 400-watts each as opposed to 200-watts each. They also built the cab a bit differently. The D215XLT had slightly off-set speakers whereas that P1515 is straight up and down. After touring with a 215 set-up for three years, I'll always have a soft spot in my musical heart for it!

Also, the D215XLT was front-ported at the top and bottom.

Funny, the reason I got it was a totally practical one: It fit through doors easily on its tilt casters. It replaced a GK 412 I was using that had to be turned sideways to get through doorways. I often wish I still had that Eden—just to have it.
