3 Effects/ Pedals That YOU Have to Have

I just find the way that the FX25 reacts to how hard Im playing to be great for all sorts of things. If I run my Blue Berry OD into it and play a bit softer than I normally would, then it gives me some HUGE low end swell type sounds.

Well right now my 3 pedals are, BYOC Lazy Sprocket, Zoom B2, and Boss RC-20xl. I use a vol pedal with my "acoustic."
Now, since I believe the B2 violates the spirit of the OP's question I would choose, Comp, OD, and Filter.
As for the filter question, I don't play slap very much, and I'm not real crazy about the funky filter sound. I'm going more for a synth kind of sound from the filter, hence the lazy sprocket.

They make for a nice combo, eh?


Otherwise for the filter question, I'm pretty unfunky, I just like the sounds I get and they seem to work out with the people I;m playing with.

Also, slapping badly seems to make for happy bandmates if you do it loud enough.

Oh yeah, read the original question a little better, and I' probably go mammoth, pq3b, blueberry (in that order) were I to get rid of everything but 3. loose the mammoth if a tuner counts.

I want to play along, but I must cheat, just a tiny bit. So, not counting a tuner, or a compressor, I would choose 1- tube driven overdrive, 2- envelope phaser, 3- envelope filter. Then I'd cry cause you took away my chorus, delay, and crunchy distortion and DI. In real life, I've whittled down my fx board to 11 total pedals, from a rediculous 20 pedals just last month. It's a disease.

1.) Birdsong BBox (basically an outboard passive tone switch - my fretless has volume but no tone knobs)
2.) Boss CEB-3
3.) Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard

If we're assuming I'm using my fretted bass, the BBox tone control is already built into it, so drop the Bbox and put in...eh, it's a toss up between my OC-3 and my BDDI. Tough call.

Yep :)

In all honesty, im not the most experienced person with regard to filters. I have only owned / tried a handful, but im really happy with the results im getting from the Blue Berry into an FX25. I won't be looking much further for the time being.

The FX25 was only about $45 too. Nice and cheap :) (unlike the blue berry!).

EDIT: Im using a 2 knob version of the FX25. I have no idea if they differ from the 3 knob, but I thought id point it out.
