I got my WL yesterday, too. Yup, it's an awesome filter. And like advertised, it is fantastic with an expression pedal; even more so than I thought. With the blend all of the way clockwise, you can get the same type of long LFO sweeps that the SA BEF Pro gets. And it's dope. Sounds fantastic with my Bass VI, too. There's still sounds and characteristics of the Proton that I prefer to the WL (with my limited experience with it), and like you, my Proton is definitely staying on my board. I have room for two filters, no sweat, buuuut not three. My SA BEF Pro has been a staple on my board for years, and I've been really digging into it recently, and digging it. It has a ton of utility, plus I've added an expression pedal to it about a month ago. Not sure just yet what I'll do board-wise, and I'm in no rush, but I don't think I'd sell it in any case. I not sure that I'd get enough for it and I'd rather just keep it, even just for studio stuff. The real question is which will be better on the gig, and the WL will get its first spin this weekend. Or, I could just have three envelope filters on my board. That wouldn't upset me all that much.
