I'm really looking forward to seeing what Spencer comes out with, especially any OD's. I'm about to redo my board, replace a bunch of stuff, but thinking I'll wait and see what gets announced first.

Can't promise I'd get one but I'd consider it - whereas the current big one is a no-go because of form factor.

Btw. how come 3Leaf was never on pedalsandeffects.com? As i can remember it wasn't....

Yes, but he used it just like the other fuzzes, which imho was definitely not playing to its strengths. I always loved the YD with little to now gain, cause that's where the awesome synth-ness lives.

What makes the YD such a great match with the Proton and WL is the dynamic, envelope-like quality of its fuzz, as discussed further back in this thread (maybe go back a year or two). You can especially hear this when muting the strings with the right-hand palm, left-hand choking, etc. Combining it with the envelope filter really enhances the juiciness/funkiness of the wah effect. Other fuzzes often slam 'balls-to-the-wall' with less dynamic effect. I haven't tried those with envelope filters yet; that may also work as its own flavor and effect, but I just know the YD and 3leaf envelope filters totally play like they were made for each other (as one would expect, duh).

They make a killer combo, especially when adding octave.

Agreed! I found using it like that after Octabvre or an OC2 really helps the octave stand out in live mix and thickens it up. I also love this in the Wonderlove fx loop so you can get grit but not overpower the funky 'quack'.

I can't wait to see what Spencer comes up with next... exciting times!!!

When you put an H9 in the WL effects loop, you put EVERYTHING in the effects loop

I just picked up a Wonderlove for my brother, when it gets here I will try a Wonderlove in the Wonderlove fx loop.....

Got my You're Doom and played it at home. With "proper" rig, but small room, fairly low volume, and no band mates.

Verdict: I'm extremely happy. It sounds great and have all the right controls to sculpt the sound to my liking. With all the controls and mid switch especially I'm confident there will be little effort to get the right sound with the band as well.

And it fits perfectly with the Proton of course.

One quick suggestion- on the "shape" switch try the normal/up position (not mid scoop) in the band/gig context. The mid scoop sounds great solo'd, but muted in the mix. A soundman friend of mine thankfully pointed this out to me at the very first gig I tried out the pedal. The normal setting sounds harsh at home, but sits in the band mix perfectly- another example of how musical and functional these 3leaf pedals are.

i've been messing around with my Wonderlove to find a sound for this track i am working on ....
could't decide between sweep UP or DOWN, but every time i switch between them, i have to tweak the knobs ... eventually , i stumbled upon the settings that works for both!!! think this one is a keeper ... so I had to share ...
