I guessed and am hoping for a 3leaf funky phaser.
We definitely know he's been working on an overdrive. I wouldn't be surprised to see another compressor too.
3Leafers - I've never paid a whole lot of attention to 3Lead stuff, but all of a sudden I'm salivating over the Octabvre and the Wonderlove.
I currently use a Bass Whammy and a BEF pro for my synthy/funky stuff, but I'd like something more analog/organic, and with less options than the BEF - I struggle to tame that thing, honestly.
What is the difference between the proton and wonderlove? Is the wonderlove just an expanded proton, or is actually a different kind of filter?

It's a different filter.
IIRC, the Proton is based on a Mutron III and the Wonderlove is based on a Lovetone Meatball.
I had the Groove Regulator, Proton V1 & V2, and the Wonderlove. IME Wonderlove all day every day.
Just had the wonderlove making my Meatsmoke pre (with new tubes) distort on the peaks and it was glorious.
I really like my White proton, but I had a Blue-Purpley Wonderlove and it was quite nice. Ultimately on the gig I prefer the Proton to get a couple good sounds, but the Wonderlove has a lot of sounds. Really tempted to get a V2 and run a whole bunch of effects through it!
Yes, definitely different filters. The Wonderlove can get wetter to me and it's way more versatile, especially when you throw in the effects loop and now the new version with 2nd switch. But I ended up setting the Wonderlove to sound similar to my Proton, so given board space constraints I stuck with the Proton, and love it.
Interesting. I've never tried to Proton, but wrote Spencer about it quite a while back. His comment was "they're more similar than different".
Wonderlove is my preference in the "up" sweep mode and the Proton kills it on the down mode. I often use them at the same time in these different modes, with the Octobrve.
