Hey Cunni

Yeah the Octavbre tracks we’ll. I can get a pretty solid G from the E strong. Not sure what I’d use that for but it tracks it. The sound is heaps different than the POG. Basically it sounds really similar to the OC2 with the tone CC and CW has less subs and more grit - cool for driving synth sound chains.

Question for those using the Octavbre Mini. I've had one on my board for a while now. I really do like the sounds this pedal provides. However, I seem to really aggravate soundmen and band members alike when I use this pedal. Seems the sub lows of Tim Tuning really spreads and I've received complaints lately that it's causing issues with the mix. For the record, I don't overuse the EQ on my amps/basses (keep things relatively flat). I know one solution is to turn the effect down but I don't really have it cranked, and if I set it lower, it becomes somewhat irrelevant. Anyone else having a similar experience? Makes me wonder if the original (non-Tim Tuned) Octavbre having less sub lows is more appropriate for certain rooms, or at least my situation.

What expression pedal are you guys using with the WL Deluxe? I have yet to try one with the WLD but I'm really thinking about adding one.

I have been more or less set since getting the WLD, You're Doom, and the Octavbre Mini. Pretty useful stuff! I do notice a minimally quieter signal when I run the buffer off on the WLD - I usually just do some more tap dancing instead. Is there a way to compensate for this or is it just the nature of the beast running a 10-pedal board?

I never noticed the volume difference in buffered/TBP modes. Have since sold the deluxe, but I use a Moog EP-3 with my WLv1, and it does a nice job for $20-30.

I use a Source Audio expression pedal. I believe at one point Spencer recommended a Dunlop EXP...I can't remember which model. I'm sure someone with the exp will come along and chime in.

What is perfect with your amp may be rattling the subs. I would try low volume and get a long cable or wireless and step out front during sound check.

Moog EP3 works good and they're super cheap. Lately I've been using the new mini Dunlop.

has anyone moved from a wonderlove to proton or Josh Wah? I love the features of my wonderlove - effects loop with my you're doom, exp control, buffered/True bypass-, but lately I feel like at practice the filter is getting lost in the mix. I can still hear note definition but i'm not getting the snap of the filter. It's still been a significant step up from the mxr BEF. I just don't know if this is a case of the grass being greener on the other side

I use the dunlop DVP4. like this one.

It works ok. I was using a crybaby that I modded as an expression pedal and it was pretty meh.

I have received a 3leaf proton 3 in a swap for another pedal that I had.
I am loving how it sounds, but I had to spend some time to find some settings that I like (gain and decay about 9 O'clock; peak and tone about 3 O'clock). However, I have been playing with it mainly at home, just to get to know it.
I play in a couple of Rock bands and I would like to find a permanent space for it in my pedalboard, but I am not sure if it will work well in this context.
I am looking for some advice about pedalboard placement (I use, in this order, a Spectra comp, a EHX pitchfork, a SansAmp VT DI and a Corona minichorus), pedal settings and examples of rock songs where I can hear how this effect can have its space in a band context. Will this work in songs originally recorded using a Wah pedal or a talk-box?

Can you show us the settings you use on the WL? That's super helpful in suggesting some tweaks to punch through better. Also, is it a v1 or deluxe WL?

It was a deluxe. I found some better results when I tweaked some settings on my compressor that was after it. I had to have the resonance all the way up with attack and decay a little less than noon and the tone a bit above noon.
