Just out of curiosity... does anyone know what type of fuzz the doom/you’re doom uses? Ie germanium/ silicon/ led/mosfet/ other?

Doesn’t really matter cos it’s a cool pedal just curious though!

I haven’t posted here in a while, because I’ve been basically set for several years with my 3leaf pedal acquisitions: octabvre mk1>doom in the effects loop of wonderlove dlx as my synth setup, and little black box for boosting on palm-mute and slap.

But I just picked up a octabvre mini on a whim (and black fri sale) and what a new thrill it’s been. So big and beefy, versatile with the vol, tone, and mix knobs, and like ice-skating smooth and clean on the tracking. Basically a deluxe OC-2 on steroids with more beef and punch (and to my ears, less mud and flab) and worry free tracking. Bingo!

There's something in one of these big 3leaf threads. I believe it was something about the time and parts needed - and I think he said he wanted to focus on other pedals more.

Just had the same thought last week while I was noticing the 3Leaf domination of my board. What else could he create to continue this trend

Speaking of which, anyone here have recommendations for delay pedals that play well with their 3leaf effects? I've read some delay rec threads but still don't know where to start. I don't need endless features a la strymon. Interested in something that can give me usable delays from subtle reverb-esque to full on echo weirdness in a YD/Proton size enclosure (or smaller). Looping is a bonus but not a requirement. I would like to keep it under $150ish, unless it can replace other pedals.

Current setup is polytune > grizzly bass OD > Octabvre Mini > Wonderlove DLX (Doom in loop) > GR2 > SA Lunar > PWNZOR > LBB > Enabler

I haven't tryied it with 3leaf pedals specifically... yet (an Octabvre Mini is on the way ), but what about a humble TC Electronic Flashback delay? It probably won't blow you away, but it's serviceable and ticks all your boxes, including price range

I love the Octabvre Mini...so smooth, and like you said, tracks great. Love the standard Octabvre as well, but just can't fit it on my board at the moment!

I love the mini. I wanted to have the option for sub only switching so I went with this setup. With Sub only I prefer the CW setting on the Tone, mostly with my Wonderlove or Mini-Tron.

O...M...G! It’s like DYI two-switch octabvre (except to switch to sub only on the fly you have to stomp on both).

Too much is never enough!

Too much is never enough!

It's pretty easy to step on both with the soft touch switches. I wasn't sure I would use it much but I enjoy having 2 preset tones available.

Here's a quick pic. I've never been one to worry about neat wiring because I like to try different things, sometimes for a single gig. The Wonderlove, You're Doom, Octabvre, Cali 76, Future Impact, Wombtone and Mini-Tron never leave. Sometimes I'll add fuzz, swap delays etc. Also the Vulcan seems to have ended my OD quest. The Enabler is useful for tone shaping/boost, backup DI but mostly I use it for late night playing with IEMs.

I use it for sub only like you can do with the 2nd switch on the full size Octabvre. I can set the tone fully CW for the Mutron-ish octave tone and add in slight amount of clean, which I prefer to just turning off clean signal.

I'm pretty sure I asked Spencer a couple years back, and he said ~90mA. I could be mistaken, but that's my hunch.

EDIT: Apparently someone has spoken to Spencer more recently, and the draw was said to be ~30mA. My apologies!
