It’s been over 2 months. Waiting on news of the Octabvre mkIII. Anyone hear anything?

Not a peep. Just patiently waiting to see what bells and whistles it has.


I've been pondering how much I'll want it.

How many new features can another analog octave pedal have that I desire? (already have a Octabvre, Octabvre Mini, OC-2, Meatbox & MXR BOD)

Out of sheer curiosity, how do you utilize all five of those bad boys?

Never all at once. Only one at a time, and often with some sort of drive (ala Tim Lefebvre). Octabvre Mini has been my favourite lately.

I wonder how terrible all 5 together would sound though?

Out of all my Octave pedals, this one is my favorite. I absolutely love it.

It's definitely between the Octabvre and the Mini. I love the simplicity of the Mini and that its gnarlier sounding than the regular Octabvre (mine is one of the earlier ones before the Tim tuning)

Can't beat the solo sub footswitch on the big one either. It's so cool!

Just found out about the You’re Doom and it might be exactly what I’m looking for.

However it seems to be out of stock almost everywhere. Any particular reason?

No sorry, but I was looking for a doom sometime ago, maybe 4-5 months ago. I inquired with Spencer and he told me that the current model was discontinued and that a new version was being prototyped at that time. But no, no eta on that.

He told me the same thing in-person at The Bass Shop in West Seattle.

If anyone here wants to get rid of their Octavbre Mini - I sold mine like a dumb*** - I have cash ready to go! Spencer responded to an email saying a special color run is coming in May, but I can't find stock anywhere...

Have no idea. It was a short answer. I asked if he had any in stock and this was the reply....

"Doing a custom color run, should be ready in May."

And that's it.

I didn't ask about anything other than the Mini, I didn't know there is a new one coming out.

I literally sold my Mini about 5 weeks ago. After sitting on it for a year, barely using it - finally convinced myself to sell it. Next thing you know my producer friend says "bring that octave" ... And "where is that killer octave??"

Even though I love my Chromatron, I just had to snatch up this rare bird. I've literally been waiting years for the opportunity. I guess I'm just a 3Leaf filter junky. I've now owned every model except the original GR. Please stop making envelope filters Spencer.
