3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Got my Octabvre the other day. I got it to replace my BYOC Divided Octave which works great but i needed a volume boost when using the sub only signal. The Octabvre does not disappoint. The Divided Octave has great tracking... the Octabvre is even better. But I probably don't need to babble on about how great it is... so here's my board ;)

All those top jacks are screaming to be put on a PT Nano.

So long i admit, i’ve ordered a Doom 2 last october to a dealer in Germany. It was supposed to arrive in mid-december but Spencer had some production issues which delayed its production. I guess he then favorised people who directly ordered on its website. Can’t wait to receive mine anyway

So I was expecting more stock to come in March but nothing yet. I cant wait to join the club and get a Doom 2... is this normal of 3 leaf? Do we just wait and wait and wait and wait and wait.......

Hello. It's normal for the pandemic, wherein the lower limit of availability is set by supply chain delays.

Like many others nowadays, if Spence can't get components, he can't build and sell his electronic circuitboard-based products. All other things being equal (which they might not be), this almost certainly is affecting 3Leaf Audio.

Does anyone know when the next batch of Doom 2 pre-orders will be available?

Normally still foreseen for March... But I guess Spencer still has some difficulties with the production of Doom 2 since he has not shipped all the ones of the previous batch and i do think he will not reopen pre-orders before that. I’ve emailed him this week-end when he plans to be able to ship the remaining ones (i’ve ordered mine more than 5 months ago !). I’m waiting for his reply, he is always reactive :) I will keep you posted as soon as i’ve an answer !

I've got a Doom in the loop of my Wonderlove, but I'm wondering, for the less fuzzy synth tones and the more generally Moogish hint of hair in front of the filter tone, what are you juicing with? I want something very versatile, so opposite the Doom, which is a lovely one trick pony. Was thinking MBD2 or a Fifth Gear, although I've read the Fifth Gear can be finicky with active electronics.

I’ve done this sort of thing with a few different overdrives and they’ve all worked to a degree. I had a great version of the Justin Timberlake Can’t Stop the Feeling tone going with a Damnation Audio MBD-1 (and later an MBD-2) in front of my Wonderlove (and later my Chromatron that replaced it). Currently my only dirt, besides my Doom, is a Tronographic Rusty Box which I’m sure would do the job pretty well, but it had a LOT of baked-in tone and may not be the best bet for that specific task.
