Just curious, does anyone know what the production numbers are for Spencer’s pedals? I remember the LBB and Enabler were around 100 units each.
From what I recall, LBBs and Enablers were fairly limited runs compared to some later stuff. He mentioned that certain components (headphone-related) on the Enabler were either super expensive or hard to get after a few runs. So that limited production. Pwnzor was also pretty limited - I think under 150-200 units maybe?
Obviously the filters and octabvre went through multiple iterations. Seems like the Wonderlove, later Proton, and Octabvre minis were most plentiful. The YD/Doom/Doom 2 were also fairly easy to find until the recent insanity.
It’s funny - I owned everything except the Chromatron and Doom 2 at one point or another. As much as I love some of the 3Leaf stuff, I would never pay 2-3x Spencer’s new, direct price for them. I’m curious if he starts production again how many people who panic-purchased trying to collect rarities will be holding the bag on something they expected to be top-dollar unobtanium. If I’ve learned one thing about pedals from this site, it’s that pedal buyers are fickle and crazy…
