I already use a Chromatron/mk3/Doom2/pwnzor. I still would like a wonderlove 2, but honestly my new to me, Barbanera has been scaring off any other pedal. That thing is just awesome.

There's some interesting stories about the pre-sale wait that people go through, even on here, with the majority being peacefully resolved, but it's basically identical to the Moog 101, with additional LFO engines identical to what you would find on a SA Reflex. It honestly reminds me of a Xerograph Deluxe, but with a few extra tuning options, and much easier to dial in. Finally a 2/4 pole option I enjoy using, and multiple sensitivity adjustments make it very flexible.

Seems to be really top notch build quality, he makes a good lineup of other pedals too.

I love my Chromatron, but it's just not that quaky, and that's good, I like having a few flavors on board, but I can't seem to turn it off (the Barbanera).

If you can find one, it's definitely worth the try -

I always loved the Chromatron because it was insanely easy to dial in the sensitivity, I'm also a rare one that uses the boost, the range and bandpass type really make a difference as well. The way I use the fx loop blows the stock performance out of the water, but natively you can't beat that function w/switch as well, every pedal with a native fx should have that bypass function, period.

You can use CC or PayPal. The first drop had Apple Pay in there too. But it is not like it went 100% to Apple Pay people, just that during the first drop nobody was prepared, so Apple Pay won out. This second time, people were prepared with PayPal ready, Autofill Ready and so on. I think once you have those aspects all prepared it narrows the difference in the options.

Honestly, if you are signed in to PayPal, I think the differences will be marginal. People are checking out within 60 seconds and getting all 100 gone, all without ApplePay. I did mine typing with a Credit Card against autofill people and PayPal this time.

It will be interesting to see what happens if all 3 are enabled and what the division of sales are in the end.

As of now, I ll stick with my Chromatron because of its amazing sound and functionality : effect loop and expression control are huge bonuses to me. I generally turn the resonance down. Never past 1 or 2 o clock, so I would not consider myself a Quack fan.
The only feature I would improve on the Chromatron is the sensitivity that is maybe too sensible for my active JB. There is a sweet spot where I can be right before the edge of the filter and play with its opening with my attack, but a few% change on the knob and the spot is gone. I suppose you'll get different results from a bass to an other.

Since you ask: I recently got a PWNZOR. Really nice thickening going on, even with release set to its fastest. Though I find the controls to have limited range. The Broughton Omnicomp for instance can go all the way from barely affecting the signal to extreme squish. I'd be curious to compare it to a Diamond/Alma. Also, I'm looking forward to compare the Proton to my GR2, which remains my standard for funky stuff.

Favorite settings for Doom 2 into Proton for synthy envelope? I go back and forth but come back to bass mid and treble at noon and gain at 9ish.

I keep my gain around 9 o'clock as well. Bass at noon, too. But I keep the trebles wide open and let my Xerograph Deluxe filter to taste (with an expression pedal). I play around with the mid frequency all the time because it really changes the character of the Doom 2. It mostly stays in the 9 o'clock to noon area, but sometimes it goes to 1 or 2 o'clock when I want that sound.

I haven’t purchased anything 3Leaf Audio since I got a Proton a few years back but I did get a SGFX Bi-Filter maybe 6 weeks ago which I’m spending time with and then readjusting the Proton (sometimes to what might seem counterintuitive settings)

It’s a great privilege to have such nice equipment
We live in an era of fantastic opportunities for Bass Players

I doubt I’ll get anything else from 3Leaf Audio due to my location and opportunity potential.

I need a history lesson of Octabvre.

Mark I - I rarely see this one, but seems like almost the same as the MKII without the Tim switch.

Can someone tell me what the Mini is based off of?

Also other than the Tim switch and stomps and knobs, what is the difference between them all? I've watched some comparisons and they sound similar but different lol.

The MkII is the MkI with the Tim tuning switch added. Before this, the Tim tuning was a mod you requested when purchasing a MkI, and you could not turn it off. The Mini has the Tim tuning, so it's like a MkI without the sub switch/sub volume and Tim tuning installed.

MkIII is generally purported to have a slightly middier/synthier sound than the MkII, but the time when I owned both has long since past. Another difference with the MkIII, though, is that it is buffered bypass instead of the rest being true bypass.
