3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Wow, I never even noticed this fact until now. I just checked the manual and it says "transparent active bypass system with proprietary electronic switching". I've read the manual before but I wasn't even thinking about it, I was just sure that all 3Leaf pedals are true bypass. Interesting!
I actually recently emailed Spencer to clarify, and he confirmed that it is a buffer. In my case, I think the output impedance was actually causing me to have problems with my fuzz pedals, because it also didn't occur to me that the III could be buffered.

Really looking forward to some "Proton Shipped" messages.

Yup, thats what i'm waiting for. Last e-mail I got was that he was testing them and they sounded great. So i'm hoping they get out quickly. For international they go DHL I think it was, and that sometimes gets to where it needs to be in a few days. (Unlike my Discogs CD's from Canada that is now at the 2 months mark and still waiting).

Makes me wonder how many people have migrated to selling here because of reverb fees or thinking they have a more direct line on buyers via TB.
I agree and TB attracts those buyers as well. Who likes to pay taxes?! There are some new accounts without any feedback who are purchasing or attempting to purchase them. I've seen this with 3 Leaf, IE and some other manufacturers.

Unfortunately as long as people keep paying those prices that's where the bar will sit.
There is a doom2 from the last run in the classifieds going for less than an older doom2 in the classifieds.
While I would like to try one out, Im not interested in paying more for used than new.
I'll continue to try to get one when they release but if not I can wait.
I waited 8 years to get my hands on a depth charge at a price I was comfortable with.

I hear what you are saying, but I think there's a time and place to pay more for used than new. It's very situational, of course, especially when a pedal is still technically in production. Still, there's something to be said for having an additional 8 years of joy and use from a pedal than saving a bit of cash.

Proton ship notification was received yesterday!

Nice one, I haven't received any shipping notification yet unfortunately. Was hoping it would ship this week. :)

When things get rarer, or have limited runs, prices generally go up if people want the item. Not having a release for some time caused used prices to get higher. Now that there may be regular releases, i'd hope this would push the used market down quite a bit. But we do need to wait for a few rounds of drops of all the pedals for this to happen. Things should balance out all going well.
