It’s my favorite octaver. No other octavers have such pronounced mids that make it pop in the mix as well as mk3 IMHO. It won’t do that hollow oc2 thing, but I prefer the fuller, richer tone it gives.
Per the 3Leaf website, this round ships on 12/11.
from the past drops, he has been shipping out the units about two weeks after the sale. i didnt order any on the last batch but i remember tge time frame from the other last couple drops..
Go easy on the guy... He's gotta give himself time to hit the slopes after the batch sells out in less than a minute!

I recently got a GR2 & it sounds very different compared to the two I previously owned in the past. This one immediately took 1st place amidst all the other filters I have. Its an earlier unit, serial #076, whereas the previous ones I had were later releases. Did Spencer change anything or is this one just magik?
The Chromatron is still king when it comes to stacking octave & fuzz but this GR2 is the best sounding envelope filter Ive ever had the pleasure of playing through

While everyone goes off to dismantle pedalboards and remove velcro, I’ll state that #078 is fantastic.
No idea about changes. Did you buy all yours 2nd-hand… internal settings maybe different?

Yes, all second hand but I always set the internal switches the same. I dunno what it is but I definitely understand why so many say this is their favorite filter, so fat & juicy
I am just going to say it and the complaints are welcome to roll on in. For the Holidays Season, 3Leaf should give us a vintage Broughton Audio Style Drop. That’s right. I want a pedal release at some random time between 12:00 midnight and 7:00 am, in whatever time zone that may be. Let the dedicated refreshers and the random lucky website checkers get a win. Woo!

I agree I love my chromatron as an interactive pedal on the board. But I keep the Groove Regulator for when I’m just looking to grab an envelope filter on its own.
Someone in the Manchester NH area, me for example but I don't think I will, could go pick up a Proton today for about face value after a 15% in-store discount.

I just picked up an Octabvre from the classifieds. I bought one new 7 or 8 years ago, but sold it because I wasn't using much octave at the time. I'm playing at church now, and there are a few times where I need a synth-like tone. I have 2 OC2s that I've been using, but I really like the start of the note on the Octabvre. The volume knob is nice too. I will probably keep the tone rolled off, but I will explore that more. Overall, I really like this pedal.
Out of everything I did with an Octabvre, I enjoyed the sub channel mixed with another direct clean channel.
