3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Ravens purple anyone?

A Miami colorway Octabvre next to this “Raven” Doom2 would look dope.

Came here to celebrate with my fellow victors.. and it’s surprising quiet. Is the allure finally fading? Or, better yet, maybe people are still spending quality time with their families during the holidays, instead of wasting time on a forum talking about a fuzz pedal.

I was out picking up a pedal that came via USPS over the Holiday weekend & buying batteries to put in the kids new gizmos when the drop went down.

Frankly, I'd love one of the new Doom 2's, but at this point I think it's really more of an aesthetic desire than something that will be tonally game-changing for me. I have a Doom. Gain is always set to minimum. Highly unlikely that the higher gain & expanded controls on a newer Doom 2 is going to change the way I'm using it.

I thought about making another effort this round, but decided against it. Chances are there'll be future opportunities. Plus, between the Broughton drop yesterday (SBM incoming!!), the MBD-2 I picked up from the PO Box today, the three pedals that arrived last week, & the other pedals purchased from the classifieds and a few builders over the past several days I have enough headed my way to keep the GAS at bay for at least 24 hrs.

Today will be spent playing with the kids, eating leftovers, and generally being super grateful for all the many blessings I already have rather than pouting about what I don't. :)

That’s great, man! All good stuff. I was borderline comatose, stuffed with leftover ham, cheesy potatoes, and green bean casserole with my one month old daughter passed out on my chest when the drop happened. I really didn’t expect to get one, flying through the checkout process one handed. If I didn’t have my card number memorized, I surely would have missed out.
I had a Doom 2 from the first ever release. It wasn’t what I was looking for at the time, but have since found “what I was looking for,” I thought I’d try it again and really explore it for what it is, instead of what I wanted it to be. I don’t really do the low gain fuzz synthy sounds, but I know there’s more than just that in the pedal. We’ll see, I guess! I’ve also had the Octabvre Mini (that I sold for $150 three years ago), two MKIIs (one of which sold on Reverb for $250 a couple years back. No clue what I did with the other one), and two MKIIIs that I sold, unscalped. My OG mini was definitely my favorite. So, if this Doom 2 doesn’t scratch an itch I didn’t even know I had and someone wants to trade for an Octabvre, hit me up!

I would like to highlight that, 12 months ago, the brand was apparently dead. We had not received a single update in months.

110 pages of passion and drama, several tons of popcorn eaten and many F5 key beaten to death later, we have just had a 7th pedal drop.

When we're unhappy, we love to complain about it here but we rarely take the time to say when we're happy :
The brand is alive and now has a future ahead, again. 2023 has been a great year for 3 Leaf.

Next month? Was he continuing or was this the last of the 3 batches? (300 of each split between 3 months)? This being the last month?

I assume it will keep on going. Though, with work and so on, I don't know if I will get up at 4:00am at other times of the year to try and grab a pedal, to be honest. I'm way tired today and lucky it is a holiday period. I might have to look into alternatives for the Doom / Octibvre, as purchasing it through other means is just too expensive at this point in time and I can't sacrifice being wiped out the next day at work for a pedal.
