No, but assuming the nomenclature is consistent we can surmise that the revision is less substantial than the change from the MK1 to the MK2 (because he's not calling it MK4) and more substantial than the change from the original Doom 2 to the revoiced Doom 2 (because he felt that change did not merit an update to the nomenclature).

I saw Tim LeFebvre with Nate Smith and Jason Lindner this weekend. Great show, and Tim signed my Octabvre.

Maybe the revision will finally include chamfered edges. It's the one flaw in otherwise very thoughtfully engineered enclosures.

Tim's career has been an inspiration. Spencer's is more of an amusement.

I absolutely do.
I guess the item I was talking about got deleted, and now you can only see those available right now.
I am not sure but I guess it was 600ish not 1100.

The $1100 listing is new. When Romain posted, there was one for about $850 (and it seems to have sold for $750).

Talk of wild Chromatron prices prompted me to pull mine off the shelf. Never took the time to run the Doom 2 in its loop or hook up an expression pedal - fixing that oversight now. Pretty blown away - it’s not as perfect for expression as say, a Xerograph Deluxe, but that effects loop is incredible.

I had a rehearsal for a new project earlier this week, it's trio doing a lot of heavy, odd metered stuff (sounds a bit like drive like jehu?) mixed w free improv & ambient parts. doom 2 and octabvre both getting a lot of use in it, and the practice space has a uv light. kinda hoping I can pick up a glowy octabvre at some point as well

If it's the sound that works best for you, that's great (and I assume it is based on your signature); but it's not the sound for everyone (I myself prefer the Verellen Meatsmoke, Jule Simone, and Arkham Oracle, though I did like the Noble more than the Shift Line Olumpic MKIIIS). Plus its power supply is not isolated. I'm not hating on the Noble--it's popular for a reason--but I am pushing back against the idea that it's for everyone.

Never tried a Chromatron, but the loop on my wonderlove 2 is great, huge difference in responsiveness (to me) between running an octabvre and/or doom2 before or after it vs in the loop.

Rather than a loop, I prefer a trigger input. That way I can split my signal after the tuner, run one into the trigger, and another through the chain. That way I can still turn on the Doom2 without the envelope, and if I engage the filter, I won't have to change the sensitivity because of any pedals before it that add gain and volume. Best of both worlds.

That being said, I do want to try a Chromatron.
