I got lucky today. Makes up for my recent string of 4:15am PDT strikeouts. Although, I might have been a little quicker about getting my shipping/payment info in had I known the pressure was on.

You'll get an email, most likely one or two days before the release, stating the time and date as well as the color of the ink for the batch in question.

There was no email days before. I signed up for the newsletter multiple times, and ended up emailing Spencer directly. Best to reload the page repetively; getting a pedal from him's like getting XboxX when they first came out. They sell out that fast, almost impossible people must be using automations to buy.

My email turned up about twenty-four hours ahead of the release. Not sure what other folks’ experiences are.

It’s really just luck of the draw. No tin foil hats. You can get these limited releases by just hitting reload.

That said, it’s not for everyone, myself included. I have to really want it to care enough to try.

The scalpers still leave bad tastes in my mouth. I just don’t care enough for an already relatively speaking marked up pedal. People seem to grab these to barter more than enjoy.

Same. Received mine at 1745 CDT on March 15, 2025. I've bought two pedals from him recently, but was getting the emails before that when the releases were selling out instantly... was actually surprised how fast this last one went, seemed like the last few Doom releases hung around for a few hours... it is a sharp "colorway" though...

I received an email on March 15 at 6:45 PM ET. Not sure why you didn't, but my post is consistent with my experience

It's fair to say that the Doom 2 isn't something you are interested in, but I'm going to push back against the idea of it being "relatively speaking marked up." It is more expensive relative to most other fuzz pedals, yes, but that doesn't mean it's disproportionately marked up. Maybe it is. I couldn't say without seeing a breakdown of the production and marketing costs for a slew of fuzz pedals. But I do know that the quality of the components and enclosures (USA steel, not aluminum) means 3 Leaf pedals are going to be more expensive to produce, even if we do not account for the limited nature of the printing runs.

I'm also going to push back against your second claim. Yes, plenty of people were trying to flip these, but that's precisely because of how popular they are with players. I know scores of folks who deeply enjoy their 3 Leaf Audio pedals--myself included.

Your memory is accurate: the "tools" colors lasted days and the Aurora Pink lasted hours.

I do not care for the Bronze Age color whatsoever. Too poopy lol. Also I like bright, loud colors on my pedals. To each their own.

True, but the most recent drop was also 111. Perhaps it has to do with timing? We're further from the holiday season now so maybe people have build back up their disposable income funds?
