He hasn't been putting the manuals on his site for a bit, here's one of the previous version's manual (seems like he tweaks the wording for each release, nothing major)

I have the old school mini as well and think it sounds great too. The variation in the tone knob and the adjustability to get the volume just right really sets it apart from other OC-2 variants. The only thing that bugs me is the always present Tim mode. It's like too much Timmy. At lower settings with the octave blended back it's not too bad but if I blend in more of the octave, the PA subs are getting crushed. I mean I like it, the soundman.....not so much. I've received a few "looks" when using this on gigs.

There's a specific song where I've used it for years and I always test in it soundcheck when they're checking the bass signal; I'm definitely going for more of the sub octave texture than rattling the subs; but if we don't get a check I do notice the subs move quite a bit. Admittedly I have an OC-2 Octaver that if I need "that sound" I'll grab before the 3leaf these days. Don't know why, they honestly both sound great

I think his track record of building great musical tools deserves better than chalking it up to merely good marketing. IMHO

I think those always-present low mids in the Mk. 3 are what help it shine in a mix, which it does so well.

Wasn't knocking the builder nor product, merely commentary on the ambiguity of the change log.

I love my Mk3. Tone set at 9oclock with Tim switch up is all I could ever want/need.

The description of the updated tone stack, IF it is OC2ish, does sound pretty awesome though.

I think I might sit this one out. I am happy with my mk2 and mk3 octabvres. I like the low cut on the tim switch. My cog t16 does the super fat sub bass stuff, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on this one...very interested to hear some demos though!

Dang! That was fast!! Looks like I managed to grab one. First octave pedal, and fist 3leaf pedal. Looking forward to trying it out!
