Sorry for the delay, it's been a heck of a week! Not sure if you're asking for a clip; if someone knows a good and easy way to record and post, please let me know. But for now, here are my "Funkin for Jamaica" settings so far:

OC-2: OCT1 full CW; Direct Level at noon
You're Doom: Vol at 1 o'clock; Mix at 10 o'clock; Gain at 8 o'clock; Tone at noon; Shape switch up
(I also palm mute the verse line to get that keyboard-like attack)

Although those two pedals basically do the trick, I also like to add just a touch of Proton in down-sweep mode, which seems to tighten up the sound and add a bit of "yeow." Proton settings: Gain, Peak, and Decay around 9 o'clock or less; Range switch up; Sweep switch down.

(Edit: of course, the settings would vary depending on how hot the signal is -- I use a passive p-bass slightly boosted with compression -- but you get the idea.)

If folks have other ideas, please chime in, let me know... I've been experimenting with the Doom for months now, and still going!

Thanks for the reply. A soundclip would be sweet but I was just curious of your findings and what effects you used to get that tone. Ive got an OC2,Trutron3X filter,and a TAFM fuzz,no Youre Doom yet. Ill try and see if I can come close with those. Thanks for the breakdown.

I've never been able to bond with envelope filters in general...had a proton a couple times but it didn't stick around. Have wanted to try a wonder love but haven't gotten around to it yet. That whole money thing :)

I've had both a Proton and a Wonderlove. My ideal board would have both of them on there with the WL controlled by an expression pedal. If you prefer preset filter settings, then you'd probably like the Proton better as it does what it does really well and keeps it down to a small footprint

I have both, started with a Proton but found it not too easy to dial in with my basses, plus it inverts the phase of the signal so it didn't work in my effects blend loop. So I bought the Wonderlove and am happier with the tweakability, even if it too is a bit tricky to dial in. A big plus is the effects loop that means the filter settings are not affected by other effects you combine with it; if you engage a pedal in front of the Proton you may have to adjust the filter settings because the pedal changes the levels.

I chose the WL because of the tweakability (useful when playing with different bands that have different needs, and a variety of basses that the filter responds a bit differently with) and the loop. Also the little db boost is nice.

Mainly the function.

I use Photon for dynamic control. it helps you to focus on how hard you play. When you can control the on/off of the filter by your plucking, you will master the dynamic control. It is even harder while slapping. It is more funky when you can control the dynamic.

I don't have a WL. Cannot comment. I could only say synth pedal is not my type.
