Hmm. Maybe it's time to finally give a Proton a try. Those enclosures do look nice. Not sure though... my GR1/GR2 are still the king of the filter heap (for me), but it'd be nice to free up a little board space on my Pedaltrain Mini.

Curiosity question: how did you decide on THAT name for the compressor? Is there a story behind it? I don't think "Compressor" when I see it... I can't help myself from thinking "1337 kid in the basement playing Warcraft." lol

Just curious Spencer! ;)

(I was never a Warcraft player, but I'm familiar with "'leet' speak." For those who aren't, here are some Urban Dictionary links for you :p)

John Fromel is a beast. I had no idea you were working with him. My cousin Mike works in his shop out in Seattle working his voodoo magic on rehabilitating old guitars.

I thought I was over compression but this is giving me a major GAS attack.

Yeah, I've been spending a lot of time at his shop lately. His etching process produces the best-looking pedals in the business. He actually helped me with the midrange section of my upcoming EQ, and he's restoring my old SVT right now as well.

I'm kind of lukewarm on Fromel. I've got two Fromel pedals, a Seraph and a custom DIG/Shape EQ. Both sound pretty good and the case art is super cool. The Seraph has a bonsai tree/sunset with twinkling micro LEDs and the DIG/EQ has a cross section from my 3/4 tribal sleeve tattoo. (I can post pics if you guys like.) However, both pedals took much longer than he told me. The DIG/EQ in particular took 8 months for a 3 month build, and then the overdrive side didn't work when it got to me. To his credit though, I sent it back and he got it back to me right away.

Anyway Spencer, I do actually have a question on the upcoming compressor: Does the LED do anything to show you it's... compressing? I've got an EBS Multicomp (that isn't doing it for me), but the LED gets brighter as it compresses more. Just curious. When I use it, it's kind of nice to have that visual telling me it's doing it's thing.

Yes! It's a dual-color LED. Green lights up when the pedal is on, and it changes to red as it compresses more.

This thing has a ton of gain and makes a great clean booster if you turn the compression off.

Wondering how clean the booster is.... Spencer... Any input? If the new compressor can actually serve as a clean booster?

I hate you. Tasty bass compressor that's secretly also a booster with custom art, soft touch switch, multi-color LED and a name that PWNS... gotta have one.

When's the order page going up? lol

So I realized, so far I own one of every pedal you've made so far and I'm even on the list for your overdrive prototype. The synth....... I'm not sure. I don't think I'm a synth guy, just like I'm know I'm not a fuzz guy.

You should endorse me. :bassist::cool::D
