Did a search and did not find much. I'm interested to find a list of 5 string players that use a high C rather than a low B. Want to hear some music in any genre that shows creative playing on a 5 string with a high C. (please no 6 string examples)
  2. Steve Swallow was the 1st player I ever heard of that used a Hi C on electric, Matthew Garrison really popularized.
Hi C 5 string has been more common in string bass circles for quite a while but no players come to mind

Check out Tony Grey or Janek Gwizdala. both are amazing players, and play E-C

Yep, Gwizdala was the reason why I switched to E-C, and haven't looked back since..

I'm curious, why Hadrien is still caught up with B-G thing..
    Bass Baron likes this.

He uses a few different tunings. I believe he plays his cover of norwegian wood on his tenor bass, which is strung A-C.
