It was a good game, it was nice to see Scotland being a bit more on form. Still some stupid mistakes tho (each of the Irish tries could have been easily stopped)

The first try: why didn't our centers mark thier men? Rugby 101 mistake right there. Lack of communication!

Second try: Failed tackle (well, two . . . ), that shouldn't have been! (great hand off tho).

I have to say, I LOVED watching our second try!

At the level we give away penalties, if we're playing against a team that can put them over the bar like Scotland, it can be as bad as not getting tries. Its not often that Patterson misses a kick, the guy can REALLY punish.

O'Gara played well. It looked like you guys really didn't know how to deal with him a lot of the time.

Looking back on the game, about 24 hours on, I'm actually pretty bitter about the lack of an Irish sin binning.

I also think it was a big mistake for Parks to take the drop goal that he did, it was one of our best try scoring opportunities (and if we had scored a converted try at that point, it would have been 22-21).

O'Gara is a phenomenal player, without a doubt, I think the Irish coaches made the right choice having him starting. If it had been Sexton starting, we may have seen a very different result IMO.

Final thought is that we should have put fresh legs on earlier in the second half. Danielli was looking very dangerous! Another Scottish player that really impressed me again was Gray, Gray and Kellock make a devestating second row (as was witnessed in the lineouts), it was great seeing Brown, Beattie and Barclay in the back row again. But part of me can't help but think that too many players are being juggled around at the minute.

And Jackson, I think he could become a great fly half, but just isn't there yet.

Would it be too late to sack Lièvremont, the French coach?

The Italian coach made a good point: 'I'v stuck with the same group of players since the last 3 years' and they're growing with each game.

Lièvremont has done exactly the opposite. He's called up 85 players in the last 3 years... 85!!!

I didn't have a chance to watch the game, it was a bit of a shocker when I heard the result on the radio.

I don't know.

You call him an idiot, but that's exactly how the All Blacks play (look at the highest capped players in the All Blacks, they really don't have that many caps!) And I would hardly say the All Blacks are anything short of amazing!

Italy played hard and wanted the win more than France.

Wales beating Ireland was an interesting one. It was a good game, and that try shouldn't have stood.

One downside of Italy beating France, Scotland are now in the lead for the wooden spoon. We'd have a hard time beating Italy as they are currently playing. Beating England later on today? Not an easy, or likely one either sadly.

I do, however, remain quietly optimistic about it. Scotland always put in the best effort against England (especially if we know it'd cost them the Grand Slam :hiding: ). And I have a feeling England have become a bit complacent.

Either way, my fingers are crossed!

Happy with our performance, disappointed with the ref. Well, the first one.

We were penalised multiple times for scrum offences caused by England. English front row not engaging or binding, and we got pinged for it. That's nonsense. The yellow card was a joke aswell. Once again we faced a team that was causing more (and worse) penalties, yet one of our players gets carded.

It was a good game to watch tho and that Evans try was amazing. I'm also glad we kept a leash on Ashton, who was again showing just how dangerous a player he is.

Was sad to see Brown being injured as he was, not heard any news, but I hope it isn't anything too serious!
