6 Nations

Last weekend of the 2011 6 Nations.

Anyone got predictions?

I've got tickets, so I'll be at Murrayfield tomorrow for Scotland - Italy. Wales - France could be interesting (but I expect a French victory, especially after last week) and England - Ireland will be a good match up. I think it'll be close (just like England - Scotland last week), tho I think England'll take the win (but by less than 10 points).

I haven't been able to play bass this week on account of my fingers being chewed to the bone during the Scotland match. Scotland played a really good strategic game, slowed the England attack and made us look very scrappy. Our toughest game so far.

I've been very apprehensive about playing Ireland at home. They are just the kind of team where England's grand slam hopes could splutter to a halt. They will have learned a lot from Scotland's game plan - I just hope that England's coaches will have learned their lessons too especially the commitment to getting numbers at the breakdown. I can see the point of commiting as few players to the break down as you can get away with but it was the Scots counter rucking last week that put a lot of pressure on.

I can't really call the result - don't want to tempt fate. But I do know that I will be in the pub cheering on England's finest with the help of a few pints of Ireland's finest

Regardless, I think it'll be a close one. For the sake of the world cup (from an England perspective), they would probably be better loosing this one coming up. Otherwise they'll do what they are notorious for, overconfidence and getting burned!

I'm looking forward to the Scotland - England pool game later in the year, that'll be an interesting rematch :)

Commitment to the ruck is always a tricky one, pros and cons for either way, just need to try and read and adapt to the other team.

Amazingly enough, Kelly Brown, who was taken off in a stretcher last week, is starting this week. 'ard as nails!

Wales, after the false win against Ireland who's game it should have been, and without Shane Williams.....I don't see it.

Ireland V England, that one will be quite interesting, we'll see.

Scotland V Italy - Scotland.

Well, today so far is making me feel even worse about throwing the game Vs France away and the dodgy decisions of the game vs Wales.

I think our first half was one of the best shows of rugby by any team this 6 nations....though I may be a little biased.

Agreed, I think Ireland have displayed excellent form and determination, that Welsh try shouldn't have been awarded, Ireland deserve better for the way they've played this 6 for sure.
