810 cabinet on its side. Any reason?

I can see it being potentially beneficial if you are trying to use the stage/floor to amplify the low frequencies, particularly if you have no PA sub support. I play in a band that really uses my bass to move the room and I don't really care if I can hear the highs super clearly as much as I care that the floor is moving and people are dancing.
That said...
My guess is that it is for no particular reason.

If it hasn’t already been mentioned, SVT cabs are typically laid down sideways to preserve sight lines and a provide a less obtrusive look onstage. No sorcery or physics - it’s to create a more cohesive look. Much more of a concern for TV and film situations.
