Lessee.... a $5 cable, housed in another $5 worth of "cool stuff that has no bearing on the performance of said cable", originally sold for $2000... well, heck! All you need to do is find 10 morons who have money to burn to buy then and you have $19,900 profit. Just... ten... morons. And I guarantee there are more than that in the bass world...
I don't know - $1,000 for a used cable? At a minimum, I would insist upon receiving a Certified Letter of Authenticity. Otherwise, no deal.
Somebody explain to me what I've missed... A grand for a used power cord??

Bass Northwest hates us all by now...
Over time, copper wire absorbs oxygen, so all copper wire (cords, wires in amps, voice coil wire in speakers, wire in pickups) should be replaced and old wire disgarded. Do not recycle it, as it will only contaminate new, oxygen free copper.
A high end cable should last a good 5 years, which is many times longer than a garden variety IEC cable will.
