out of the box the frets are good. The mighty mite necks come unfinished so you will want to do something with them. I like tung oil. Someday I need to try tru-oil.
Mighty Mite Necks are pretty darn good ... I live in a dry climate so I have to usually dress the fret ends on pretty much any bass that does not have neck binding. However I got a new furnace with a whole house humidifier. That should mitigate the situation. I get the p-bass version of the neck. I like the wider nut.

i had a mighty mite neck on a parts precision bass. tried another neck on it but that mighty mite HAD IT. when i swapped back i got the tone i was missing
have a killer birdseye maple mighty mite strat neck as well. if you can't afford your custom dream neck from warmoth these ain't too shabby a consolation prize

Im a fan of the mm style hum bucker and p combo especially wired passive. is that volume for each pickup and a tone?.. what blend do you prefer?
I made a glarry p bass into something else completely, wired passive as well

Gorgeous, brilliant. That top really shimmers. Pickup arrangement looks like a hoot to play. Looks like you could use it to play anything from Daft Punk to Bruno Mars to Green Day to jamerson to death metal and everything in between. Great job. I want one!
I have a mighty mite neck on a p I assembled with a poplar warmoth body. It's great. Might mites are true sleeper gems.

While I'm drooling, I like the way you kept it simple on the controls. Three volumes and a tone. That's the kind of arrangement that would get me back to more than one pickup.

with 3 pickups a passive setup is sometimes better.
I seem to like it with the neck and bridge pickup rolled off to 8 and the p pickup at 10.

The precision pickup is a Seymour 1/4 pounder. The neck pickup is a 4 string Wilkenson 4 string stingray pickup, and the bridge pickup is a 5 string no name ebay stingray pickup.

The body was made by an ebay seller who went by the name of A & D guitar company. Back then I bought 4 different bass bodies from him. I think he lived in Utah ... that was 15 to 20 years ago.
I don't know if he still builds and sells bodies.

How do you like the Wilkinson?..
I like their Jazz pickups so i got a couple mm to replace some no names that are just MEH on my ongoing project... I haven’t played them yet.
(this one has been evolving for about a year, started as a fretted black Ammoon jazz bass)
