This is one of my Frankenstein basses ... I have had this about 20 years. I reworked the bridge, pickups, and electronics at least 10 different times. I has a custom body made of poplar and a quilted maple top. The neck is Mighty Mite. It is wired passive.

As someone who aspires to build his own basses I think it looks great! Love the quilted top.
Why stick with the norm?
Whatever bass I make (come on it's going to be a P bass) it will be awesome!

Would like to see more of that spectacular top and less of the tort pick guard but otherwise an awesome bass.

Sometimes when I put a bass together it comes out right the first time, this one took a lot of reworking to get right.

The original concept was to make a p-bass body and neck with Rickenbacker pickups in the Rickenbacker locations.

But since it is now my only p-bass I needed to put a split p pickup in it

With the neck pickup I can the the Billy Sheehan thing and have a growlly p-bass with more bottom end.

How's the fret work on the mighty mite neck out the box? Been thinking of snagging one.
