Hello guys, I would like to ask you which cab would you choose for matching an Ampeg V-4B? What do you think about the SVT-410HE? I am looking forward for your opinion!
I think the same, it sounds terrific! I have always read about that cab... but I can't find it to have a try...
410he is great with a V4B, and you can get a matching grill for it if you'd like as well. The 212av is also pretty great with it, but if you're trying to be as loud as possible, the 410he would work better, and the 810e even better than that
JimmyM, the Ampeg master, I knew you will appear on this thread! It's a nice idea to get a matching grill! Any idea where to get one?
Used my V4b with 212av yesterday. Great visual match and just right for getting a little grind without being totally ott on the volume.
Do me a favor... AND DOUBLE IT! Using two of those currently, they are great! Pretty inexpensive used, too.
With that budget and no weight concerns you have quite a few options. I’d consider the Bergantino NV610.
Ampeg said a few years ago when the V4B came out that they would be selling them. Call their CS dept on Monday and ask. If not, I'm pretty sure that www.fliptops.net make them as well.
Fliptops has been out of the 70's-style replacement cloth for awhile now, unfortunately. I'm running my new V-4B, which I am really digging hard, through an 810 classic. Get that one!
Yep {} Good, but I personally like the 212AV better. {} I can’t speak to 410he or 810 with V4B. I’m sure they’re great too.
Aguilar db410 would most likely kill with this amp. Edit: But!! I am a fan of brand matching as I brlieve that certain gear was surely developed with their amps in mind so they should work great together. This has been my case almost everytime so go for the 212av!
I have tried to match the Ampeg V-4B with an Orange cab. That sounded beautiful, warm and fat, but lacks a little bit on punch. Then I got the SVt 410HE, a real bargain, and started to believe in the brand matching. Anyway, Orange still stands as a different option.
