Neither of those are the bass, the one I bought is pearl color with a white pearloid pick guard. Thst could be him though, the ketters in his screen name are his regular initials

The ads for the Blizzard Pearl Fender Jazz are worded slightly different, but I find it hard to believe that they aren't the same bass.

Talkbass ad- Fender American Standard Jazz 2008 Blizzard Pearl | Reverb

Reverb ad- For Sale - 2008 Fender American Standard Jazz 5

It does look like the ad for your bass was removed, unless this isn't the same guy. But, that's one hell of a coincidence.

I don't know, but I can't find his classified ad and my conversations with him now only have my side of the conversation visible. Can't find him by searching his name either.

You could try googling or searching his TB profile & threads while not logged in. If he's ignoring not being logged in or using a different internet browser should get around that. Sorry to hear you've been ripped off, that's so unfortunate.

You are assuming that he purposely beat you out of ten bucks. Maybe he died in a car crash before needing another fill-up. I know I am the exception these days but I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I always have and always will. Just like the seller of the bass. He may have loosened the truss rod 1/2 a turn to remove a little buzz and thought everything was fine.

Maybe he died, maybe he got a DUI and couldn't drive anymore, maybe he was abducted by Kodos and Kang. Maybe this is my general paranoia showing, but I almost always assume people are out to screw over other people.

Being a manager, I've made a career out of giving people benefit of doubt. However when no doubt remains, well you're just plain guilty.

We must be in very different lines of work, as my time as a manager has taught me to never trust anyone and if you're being told something, always question it and assume it's BS until you find concrete proof it's not.
