Who would they get to plya Jaco?
Yes, who indeed. Why that would make a good topic of discussion. Someone should bring that up.

Who would they get to plya Jaco?
Is this of interest to anybody?
site. Interesting, but a lot of people will think Bill Yeager is crazy. He made some valid points about the money etc...I can just see Jaco's estate wanting a say in all of this. There's been fighting over this for years.
The first place that would shread that movie to pieces, would be here at Talkbass.![]()
I just read the info on Bill Yeager from Link Removed site. Interesting, but a lot of people will think Bill Yeager is crazy. He made some valid points about the money etc...I can just see Jaco's estate wanting a say in all of this. There's been fighting over this for years.
I was thinking about this subject, and if they haven't done a movie that covers the whole Beatles story (not only their early years), which many consider the greatest band in history. So it's doubtful that there would be a Jaco movie soon, though we can always count on sundance....
Whhhaaa..? A movie "about Jaco?" Aren't movies made/produced to make money for the investors? Might as well go straight to DVD with that movie.. Who's ever heard of Jaco outside of music circles (maybe even just JAZZ circles..)? This forum is the only place where his name is a common event that I've ever experienced. Bad idea..There's been talk of it, but it would probably be a flop. How much of the average movie going audience A) Is an avid jazz fan B) Is a bassist?
It would appeal to a small demographic, UNLESS of course, they do get Johnny Depp to play Jaco. Then it would be a hit for certain. He did have an interesting life, but not many people care.
