Why do alllll guitarists thing bass is so much easier?

Sure we "usually" have two less strings (Don't kill me, extended-ranger's), but on those four strings we do as much, if not more, than they do!

I meant string-wise, not equipment-wise. I regard Campbell as a very good bassist, but he only uses low D and A string, sometimes high D. And comparing a crappy Fender/Marshall rig to a custom Jackson/Mesa rig is like comparing a pile of waste with a 5 tons of gold.

Played through a marshal like this with a bc rich warlock bass earlier today (it was my brothers hes a 80's metal guitarist) The tone was amazing! it sounded like poo being flung against a fan!

Whoa a Marshall MG100 HDFX? The Head Digital Effects amp? This photo is funny. In another galaxy this guy has a true Keith Richards/Sid Vicious cannot care less attitude. Hell his bass has strings. Hell his amp head and cab are two seperate units. Hell its Marshall! However in the real world his tone will suck a whole load.

Some ripoff practice studio my band uses once loaned their bass amp but still charged us to practice there, so for a laugh/vengance I used my active Stingray clone through a Marshall MG15 amp. You could see the speaker jumping round like a hyperactive toddler, and I think 50% of the sound heard was the speaker compressing to the point of making a thumping sound.
