I recently bought a new Ric - I'm lefty so choices were limited to Mapleglo, Fireglo, and Jetglo. I chose Mapleglo, my second choice was Fireglo so I chose that for this poll. They all look good tho. As a lefty I almost never get to try before I buy, but I am very happy w my new Ric - I had a '76 4001 and the 2014 4003 is a vast improvement imo

Jetglo, with a black pickguard:

Hey looks like mine. :D you could have sent the black PG as well. I wouldn't have rejected it. ;)

Personally I can't separate fireglo from shades of salmon in my head. It's not an option but that's just me.

Thanks, the first time I actually saw it I was a bit creeped out, but that quickly changed when I listened to the incredible album itself.

Hard to believe that was recorded in 1969, isn't it? Out there. :bassist: I have a Pandora station set up to find me similar new stuff. :D (Italian thrash-acid-jazzmetal "Zu" being a current fave.)

Nice Model T. Don't see those much anymore.

Thanks! I bought it new in 1977, and I still have the sales receipt to prove it :). It traveled cased, so it's in very good shape. Other than replaced tubes, a fan added to the back of the chassis with two #8 tapping screws, and a Charlie Daniels Band credential stuck to the tolex on the back, it's remarkably unscarred for it's age.

Fireglo has changed over the years - love the old ones but I'm not a fan of the more recent ones (up to a few years ago, not sure about now) - they look like partially-cooked meat to me.

I also really like Jetglo - enough that I have 2!

I feel the same way about most of the recent Fireglos. I call it Meatglo.
