A thread for with which to vent.

Read the reviews. :D

Thin Q!

Some of those are priceless! People are funny and effed up at the same time. Oh, the humanity. With a side of fries, please.

From the reviews:

Before concluding that "25 Placenta Recipes" is sui generis, the erstwhile placental gourmet should be aware of Swift's little known sequel "An Immodest Proposal" in which the scribe throws out the birthwater with the baby onto the Enlightenment table. The delightful suggestions therein suggest forgotten culinary delights. The recipes in the current volume tend towards the rich and saucy. What of lighter fare, for example placenta l'orange or placenta marsala? Also, there is little mention of accompaniments. Fava beans and a nice chianti might go well with the placenta bourguignon, but the author fails to mention such possibilities. If one desires a culinary gender balance, the excellent "A Natural Harvest: A Collection of Semen Based Recipes" (http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Harvest-Paul-Photenhauer-ebook/dp/B00ANT5X82) provides seminal opportunities. The mouthwatering ejaculate-based flan pictured on the cover might provide the perfect finish for a placental main course, the creamy sweetness of the finale balancing the previous uterine tang, the whole constituting a harmony of human bodily discharge. Perhaps it is unfair to review what a book is not rather than what it is. "25 Placenta Recipes" is a good start towards promoting a neglected cuisine -- one that provides irresistible opportunities for critical sarcasm.

Something to be thankful for - finding this thread (I typed '#%^*ing cats' into the search). Good spot to unload although reading other peoples stories makes me thankful for my own trivial problems. I came on to write that my first brand new amp in over a decade has just been shredded by my sister's cats before it ever left the house - #%*! I'm upset and I will not be patting those animals any more. They saw me practising through the amp, they heard it - they made the connection. If those cats were human I would punch their noses! That's all I'd like to vent for now. I'm sorry to hear the hard times people are having and can only hope for the best for all of you. There's always someone worse off and I'm grateful to only have some torn rat fur to worry about. Good luck all, Tom

3 years ago, I watched my friend commit suicide. Still sucks.

I haven't had a girlfriend in three years. Haven't had relations with a girl for two and a half years. Haven't had a date for a year.

I went to school for five years to earn an education degree. Now I can only find a job substitute teaching. $90 a day, way to make use of my degree.

I can't find a drummer. The ones I can find lack any sense of professionalism. My guitarist is lackadaisical about learning his parts and/or composing music.

I used to want to be a painter. My art was routinely rejected.

Yeah.

Sorry to hear that dude but I reckon you should paint something. I stopped for ten years after criticism I couldn't take - interestingly, when I stopped painting, I found music (bass). Now I want it all, I'm painting again and selling it. When you do your next painting or if you have already, add it to the Bass Art thread - music and visual art are the same, just different frequencies :)

I am angered by people who park their cars with two wheels on the sidewalk.
HEy, I was a bit drunk when I parked!!!

The substitute mail-lady: oh, she's great on the eyes fo-sho (her one redeeming quality). But she's dumber than dog****!. Leaves me mail that belongs to people blocks/miles away(which doesn't give me a confident feeling about MY freakin mail getting here) and she does stupid stuff like bringing me a box that wouldn't fit in my streetside mailbox but leaves my mail in that box 1/2 mile away up on the "main road". When she knows I have a large, covered, postmaster approved delivery box on my front porch if I shouldn't be home when she gets there.:banghead::facepalm:

The mens' room. Two urinals. Four stalls. If you enter the bathroom and there is a man urinating at the urinal and the stalls are empty, you do not go to the adjacent urinal to do your business. You go to a stall. Respect the buffer zone.
Totally disagree - urinals are the cleaner choice for guys going pee, nothing worse than going into a stall and finding it has a nice pattern of piss all over it - ditto for the area in front of the bowl where your trousers or at least your cuffs are ending up. What do you need a buffer zone for....afraid someone will look over and eye the trouser lizard? Even if you like to fart before/after/during a pee, that is just TFB for the next guy....a fart doesn't [usually] compare to the stench of some guy downloading his Taco Bell 4th meal in the stall, despite the few extra feet of "buffer" provided by a stall. Peeing in a stall sitting down....only girls do that or guys planning on doubling-down(crapping) on their time in the stall. And maybe folks who can't stand-up long enough to pee. I'd take the adjacent urinal just to weird you out.:beaver:

The buffer zone is just common courtesy. If someone wants to look over at my shmeckle, by all means take a gander, but it's just an unnecessary violation of my personal space.

And as far as toilets being dirty, you're not touching it if you're urinating into it. It could be argued that you're coming into contact with even less grossness cuz I generally hit the flusher of a public toilet with my shoe, assuming it's not automatic.

Though I've never made the claim that I'm not a weirdo.

Disclaimer: I'm not a scientist so take this with a grain of salt.

I agree with 3234718.

The Kinsey scale says that from 0-6, 0 being totally hetero and 6 being totally homo, that most people are a 1. 1 is defined as "Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual". I've seen reference to the fact that simply knowing that you are in the same room as another man with exposed genitals (urinating in public bathrooms under normal circumstances) is a 1 and considered incidental. However, presented with an extra option to urinate further away from man #1, I'd consider that mutual genital exposure to be more than "incidental", especially considering that each donger is within full view because of the extreme vicinity.

With only 2 urinals in this hypothetical situation, I think the potential "creep" factor outweighs the "hygiene" factor and a stall should be used instead.

It's not even the potential for mutual genital glances that bothers me. I just don't want some dude all up in my business. No need for two male strangers to be nearly shoulder to shoulder when it's not necessary.

I must be jaded.....probably that time I woke up after sleeping in a car with a stranger whilst hitchhiking across the country and realizing,"oh snap, he's dead." I'm not really getting the creep factor....this seems akin to the "open shower-rooms, are they weird" thread. On other hand, for while i was meeting at gym with my step-daughter's future(now-ex) husband to get him in shape for the wedding. He had a real propensity for noticing, acknowledging(to me) and remembering who was "hung" at the gym. That she started banging someone else within a few months of them tying the knot doesn't surprise me.....I don't think he was that into chicks really.

I'll confess, sometime I take a stall when I could take the urinal next to someone else...but generally only if I want to be able to break wind with wild abandon. I take it one of those long-trough-type urinals where 10 guys can stand shoulder2shoulder is not a happy place :roflmao::beaver:

You're an unabashed Close Pee-er. I can't abide your kind.
