Ha. Actually that cure is either the stuff they use in pool halls to make the cue slide in your hand or sanding the neck with fine sandpaper or a scotch pad up and down the neck. I would recommend NEITHER for your wedding tackle.

Lotta talk of balls and nuts in here. I'll add this: I keep baby powder handy in the summer for the neck of my upright. That thing can get sticky. My balls get sticky too, but I'm not sure that I'm ready to divulge my method to keep 'em dry.
I find gold bond a little too "minty" (i suppose thats the "medicated" part) and baby powder a little too "flowery". Any alternative suggestions for lightly scented or unscented?
As for application, shake the powder out of the bottle, don't squeeze! A little on the skin a little in the skivvies. Less is more.

Older cars used to have a duct which my father called the "ball cooler". There was nothing finer than wearing shorts on a hot summer day & using the ball cooler.

Honestly, and I know this is going to sound weird to some, but by going commando, I haven't had ball sweat in years that wasn't the direct result of working out/running/etc. I think it's got something to do with keeping a proper air flow around your manliness, and underwear restrict said air flow.
Try it for a few days, my bets are your peanuts will be fresh and lively.
P.S. my Ex loved it, both the commando part and the fresh and spirited scent from my penguin.
