So how loud doues the 200 watt head get? It seems like it would lack headroom in medium or larger venues. It would be much more tempting as a 400-500 watt head.

Acoustic Full Stack At GC For $768!!!

Well the older acoustic's were known for being really loud, they had low ohm ratings so you got the most power out of them. The cabs had angle firing speakers, Jaco used them and many others. Also the older rattings for these heads didn't seem to relate to todays ratings, they were very loud for what they said they put out. I wonder if the newer ones have the same amount of power?
a 4 x 10 cab for $300.00 and a 1 x 15 cab for $200.00? too good to be true?
Has anyone seen the specs for these yet? They are obviously sealed cabs, i wonder how they compare to other mid power range mid priced cabs? like Peavey, Fender, Hartke, Ashdown etc....they seem to be well appointed for the price...anyone?
I tried to find a website and can't however i did find a listing for Acoustic Control Corp. in Oregon, yet on the back of the amp they say designed in California, and built in China....what gives?

i played the acoustic b200 combo (the b200h head mated to a 15" cab) the other day at GC.
actually surprisingly not bad and loud for its size. just your basic round sound, not too low or high. not very hifi or tubey, the EQ didn't seem real drastic, nor did upping the gain vs master volume (too add distortion) it stayed pretty clean. the notch knob was confusing, but your basic solid state sound. overall, it wasn't bad. would be a great combo for rehearsals or at home.
reminded me (soundwise) of the fender solid state stuff from the 80s and 90s.
i did not play through the 15" or 410 cabs or b200h head. at a quick glance, the acoustic cabs reminded me a bit of ampeg ones (probably the black toltex and grill) except i think the 15" cab is unported, which i would think would limit its capabilities.
as its been said. guitar center owns the acoustic name now. lets see if they do it justice or reissue the old stuff.

Thanks for the link, however they don't list the size of the cab or list the drivers frequency responses.....

and what about if you instead of buying the head, and 2 cabs.....you buy the 200watt combo with a 15" that also has a line for another speaker:
+ (PLUS)
you could save 100 dollars, and you could have the always nice "ready to go and gig" combo with a 15" speaker if you dont want to take the full rig right??
is that a good Idea anyway?

Does the combo have the capabilities of adding on the 4x10? I have not played that combo.

The difference between the head and the combo is that the combo's 15" speaker is 4 ohms, so you get the full 200 watts) and the extension speaker jack is a SERIES jack. meaning that when you add an additional cab, it should be a 4 ohm cab and the head would be running at 8 ohms.
the B200H-head has two PARALLEL output jacks so when you run two of their 8 ohm cabinets, the head will put out the full 200watts.
