That shouldn't ever happen with a pro band.and running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for a 9v right before you go on.

No matter how many knobs I have on my bass, I never want to touch them. If it's volume or tone, it's max. If it's a cut/boost, it's neutral. The end. Even my active basses might as well be passive.Sometimes I like the simplicity of just having 2 knobs. Just turn those two to get a nice sound and go go go!
i do not understand why to go for a passive bass today if you can have active and bypass to passive if that is better at the time. not so much more expensive and gives you something back. it seems the correct thing to do for a bass today. why passive??

"Pro Band" is the name of my next album.Maybe so, but not everyone on Talkbass is in a pro band.

Yes, you could be "featuring" on our hit single. How are you on rapping? Can I be in it? I'll never have battery problems again!
Most of us are not really in any band!Maybe so, but not everyone on Talkbass is in a pro band.

I use Electrosockets.Barrel jacks can usually be switched out for a #11 type open jack. This needs a larger hole (around 3/4-7/8") drilled into the side of the bass and a jack plate installed. I usually use football plates if a square jack plate is too wide. I switch them out all the time if there is room for it.

This weekend I rolled 3 20s back to back to back. Of course, they were only skill checks.Hey, everyone rolls a one now and then. (rpg players will understand this ref)
Besides, as I stated, you go looking for your gig bag when some stage hand moves it and doesn't tell you where he put it.
