Adrian Garcia

I'm not sure if anyone here contributed to The Adrian Garcia Project at Invalid Link Removed , but I would like to let everyone know that we have received $2,643 through PayPal and personal checks, and I'm planning on sending a check to Adrian for the amount less PayPal fees this week after the money transfers.

He is indeed loved.

Keep strong, Adrian. You'll have this whole chemo thing beat in no time!

For those still subscribed to this thread, here's another way we can help Adrian. This is just a suggestion.

It's no secret that his medical bills will be substantial. Once Adrian "re-opens" Access Bass, I suggest you give Adrian your business and allow him to get some extra income to help offset his medical bills.

If you have EVER wanted to get an F Bass, a Nordstrand, a Skjold, a Zon, a Lull, or any other product line Adrian carries, this would be a perfect time to indulge yourself....and help someone else at the same time.

Dre, I assume you or Adrian will let us know when he's healthy enough to do this.

Somehow I totally missed this thread. I stumbled upon the issue through the F Bass website and the foundation.

I was in Las Vegas about a year and a half ago and I was able to meet up with Adrian. He welcomed me into his home to check-out some basses and was able to get me in to watch one of his shows (for free).

This is bad news, but I see from the update here that things seem to be going well in the treatment.

I wish you the best for a speedy recovery, Adrian!

Thanks for organizing that Getz!

Again, we can keep the love comin' by buying products from Access Bass in the coming weeks and months. When you're shopping for gear, see if Adrian might have what you're looking for.

Ditto that! Adrian has always been awesome to deal with!!!

I was thinking asbout A.G. and decided to give him a call just a little earlier. He answered the same as always, just like I was extremely excited to hear from me. Like one of the previous posters indicated, I am also one who he has never met face to face.

We have shared numerous messages & conversations via email, forums, phone, etc...... He has always made himself available to me in response to questions that I posed regarding various topics (gear, technique, musical styles, life) or just to talk in general. I'm sad to say that I was unaware that he was ill until well into our conversation.

I'm sorry Big Bro. I should have known sooner. I just want you to know that the prayers of my family and I are with you. Get better soon. I still have lots of questions and a multitude of things that I would like to converse about! :) I love you man. Take care of yourself and I'll be in touch soon. Good Bless.....

Charles.. I WAS excited to hear from you, man!
it was good to talk to you... I have a lot of brothers I have never met face to face, they, and you, are brothers nevertheless- and again, thanks to everyone fo their prayers and good wishes ! God bless you all, Adrian

i feel ok, i do the normal things, except getting back in the gym and lifting.. i get tired quicker, but it's cool, i have my liver mass to deal with, and i just went to get my preliminary chemo consultation, seems the dr wants to make sure i am free of ANY kind of infection or weakness to the immune system, so he put me on heavy antibiotics as a precautionay measure, it seems he suspects some sort of microbacterial issue, though i have no symptoms.. i had my reservations about going on such heavy antibitoics, but you know, i keep praying HARD, and the Lord seems to be leading me- the Nevada Cancer Institute is a state of the art facility, brand new. I am the first patient ever to be admited under a special fund, I don't pay a dime for treatment. The antibiotics were $407 alone! Without me asking , they paid for them out of the fund! The way I look at it, God has opened these doors, so i better go through them...
My previous hospital bills are coming in, I will take care of the to the best of my ability, as I can. Main thing is to try to get healthy and get this thing in my liver to shrink and when it is smaller, have it cut out surgically. A long road ahead, but I feel truly blessed. I am still here and again, God has been amazing. No colostomy ( one oncologist at the hospital guaranteed me one, so glad he was wrong! ), I am getting around fine, all this help from you guys and the Cancer Institute doing what they have never done before, it's one miracle after another, the way i see it , therefore...

Man, that's good to hear! If you ever need M.D Anderson, it's here in Houston, and is considered by many to be the premier cancer research and treatment center in the world. I'm sure you knew that already, but if you ever come out here for treatment, we'll hook up. I can show you around Houston/Galveston. BTW- Eddie VanHalen got his tongue cancer taken care of there...

I kept hearing about you but until this thread I had never known exactly what you were going through. Indeed, praise be to the Lord! I am excited to hear that you are recovering and being returned to health. I'll definitely be praying for anyone that's around you in hopes that they might see what an amazing thing is going on. You'll get some prayers too. ;-)

Your faith is inspiring Adrian.

to all those who have prayed... thank you!

saw my dr about the ct scan results

the dominant tumor in my liver decreased in size from 6.3 cm x 7.6 cm to 5.1 x 5.5
that's 1.1 cm on one side and 2.1 on the other it shrunk by. I guess the chemo is working. I KNOW the prayer is working! praise God Allmighty, Hallelujah!
i am so thankful to the Lord. He is so good.
The secondary liver lesions appear stable, no growth, which is great considering they appeared in 2 months time- they were growing fast.
My lungs are clear, spleen , pancreas, adrenal glands and kidneys are normal.
Grastrointestinal tract shows no abnormality. There is no periaortic adenopathy, which means things around my aorta are clear.
I just want to witness right here and now that without the Lord's grace and the power of everyone's prayers, I don't believe this would have been possible-
I lift my praises to God. To Him goes all the glory !
( i am also very thankful to the Nevada Cancer Institute and Dr Sunil Sharma- they are truly Godsends )
God bless you all,
In Christ.
