After gig eating.....

In Austin there are several Kerby Lane Cafe's around town and that has become my late nite fave. Tasty and healthy if you choose Kerbey Lane Cafe | Homegrown Austin Food

In the distant past there was a place called 'The Stallion' that was the absolute best, CFS, enchiladas, just wonderful stuff.

When I first started gigging in my home town there were two 24 hour places we went to 'The Original' & 'Veteran's Cafe'- you could get anything at either place and it was the best.

For some reason when I read this post, I had a vision of some hairy fellow stirring some sort of stew with His arm.
I'd avoid eating at said place at any time of the day or night, and would face certain starvation first.

IME-The food offerings of a Quick-trip aint half bad, or a better choice would be a Waffle House if You're in the "Good ole south".

Waffle House for me as well.... ahhh the good ole South....;)

Before the gig, get some chicken/Lamb, cut it into cubes, marinate it in lemon juice, salt and pepper. Leave it in the fridge. After gig, skewer the meat and grill/broil/whatever. Good with pitta bread, salad and hummus/chili sauce.

5 mins of prep that afternoon make a great meal later on that night.

Edit: obviously I wait til I get home

we played a festival gig up in Arkansas a few years back, and since we went on rather early, decided to drive back to Texas after the show. We stopped at this small country "home cooking style" restaurant in the middle of nowhere to get something quick and head out. They had this huge glass case full of differnt kinds of pies...we decided to have some pie! we ordered a piece of every pie they had...there must have been 15 pieces of pie on the table...everyone was tasting them all!...man was that good...
