Albums that you consider "perfect"...

As far as early Rock records-
I seem to recall listening to these 4 albums...beginning to end...in one sitting(as soon as I got 'em):

Alice Cooper-School's Out
Yes-Close To The Edge
Jeff Beck-Blow By Blow
Deep Purple-Machine Head

being the only album i've ever paid for has to say something, right?

I'm very tempted to agree with you on those 2, since they're both in my top 10 albums of all time. Moving Pictures is extremely close to perfect for me, but the only thing that stops me from calling it that is that nearly every song on there has been drastically improved live (especially Red Barchetta, YYZ and Vital Signs), so while the material is amazing, I still prefer to listen to, say, Exit Stage Left most of the time.

Dark Side is great, but it has a bit too much filler IMO. "The Great Gig..." and "Any Colour..." come to mind.

Cool choices, asahobby. For Mad Men Only is the coolest song I've ever heard (excepting Vanilla Fudge's entire career!), and I didn't know anybody listened to Gun!

It's your last choice, Gentle Giant Live: Playing the Fool that I have to say is absolutely without flaws, though.

The White Album has some flaws, I guess, but they just make it more perfect in its own twisted way, similarly to Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica. In a more streamlined way, Lick My Decals Off, Baby is an even more perfect album, much as Abbey Road to The White Album (I prefer Safe As Milk and Shiny Beast to both above Beefhearts, but they are less perfect.)

James Brown at the Appollo, Overkill by Motorhead and Roy Harper's Stormcock are worthy of mention, too.

My only problem with ESL is the sound quality. I have to say, and contrary to the opinion of the band, All the World's a Stage if my favorite live Rush album...and I have them all. My apologese for the jack.

Well i no ill not get a lot of agreement on this one but RHCP - By the way is my perfect album i just love every track on there.

Also as many have said BSSM (but please spell Magik right)
A lot of Rush's Stuff makes it to perfect and again the RATM album definitely.

Another personal favourite of mine is john frusciante's curtains although why i'm putting that on a bass forum i dont really know.

Wolfmothers album might make it, not sure bout that one

Well I don't listen to much psycho, but the album Brought Back To Life by the Nekromantix is considered a perfect album by Nekro fans.

Everyone is going to answer differently. To me there's no such thing as a perfect album. I'm not going to just list my favorites.
