Alex Webster's New Signature Spector

This bass looks sick! :D
Cannibal Corpse is all about being "over the top" and that bloodsplatter fits right into that style.
Also, regarding the story of that graphic (can be read in the spector club thread a few pages back) it just fits.

A great bass for a great musician!

DieChris and I spoke about this regarding the SPECTOR NS design and some other single cutaway styles. I've personally never had any issue reaching all of the frets of my NS basses. I guess it has to do with finger length perhaps? But I have "normal" length fingers. They are average.

really? i have both... and the modulus is harder to get to because of the cut away unless i wear it uncomfortably high...


i have a modulus flea BTW

Really, the quantum seems as though the 24th fret has very easy access, compared with the spector, but i have no way of trying a modulus here in Australia so i can only judge by looks. I could get my local music store to order the alex webster sig as they can order spectors, so i might try one eventually.

Guys, check it out! The link claims that Cannibal Corpse are "at the forefront of death metal." Absolutely hilarious!

The bass is nice, though. Yeah, the blood splatter isn't for me, but then, I'm not Alex Webster.

I saw Cannibal Corpose a couple of summers ago in OKC, and they had the most mature and balanced sound of any band on the ticket. I was quite impressed, and Alex's grinding bass tone was amazing.

Cannible Corpse was one of the first death metal bands with major recognition; they've been around since the late 1980's.
They were the only death metal band listed or named by Congress when the whole "Parental Warning" stuff was going down in the 1990's... They were the poster children for censorship in music.

And they've been banned in more countries than any other Death Metal band... and they're not at the forefront?

How about Alex's work in groups like "Blotted Science"? That isn't groundbreaking? And Alex is one of the major driving forces behind CC.

Can you define what is so absolutely hilarious about that? :eyebrow:
