We could say instead that all music is *spiritual*. Then if I could define "spirit" and "sacred" then I could probably find a way to agree that not all spirits are sacred, but it would be just opinion.

I could name at least one genre of music that would fall under your description, but that would instantly earn me an infraction because of its political nature. But I guess it's obvious what I could mean.

Edit: though in this case, "garbage" means "highly ethically questionable" to the point that you can't sever the music from its message.

I've reached an age where I have come to appreciate some forms of music that I once dismissed as garbage. Every time this happens, it's a lesson and a reminder to me to keep my mind open, and that if I feel that something is worthless, perhaps the problem lies with me. I still struggle with some things. (A good example: as much as I love Lou Reed, I can't appreciate his collaboration with Metallica, Lulu, which to me sounds like a noisy careless mishmash. But Bowie declared it to be the best thing Reed ever did, which gives me pause and makes me wonder if I'm missing something, so I'll give it another try.) I'm much more hesitant now to condemn any particular style of music, as long as it's created with feeling and conviction. I guess that's what repels me the most now--derivative, without feeling or conviction, or any original, creative thought; a pointless exercise.
