Hmm, I know I'll probably be in the minority, but I'd prefer to be able to get a hold of it as a rackmount...having said that, my GAS apparently doesn't give one whit about form factor...
LOL! Well rackmount preamps just don't sell like they used to. Ampeg used to have one of the best rack preamps in the business, and they had to discontinue it because it didn't sell.Hmm, I know I'll probably be in the minority, but I'd prefer to be able to get a hold of it as a rackmount...having said that, my GAS apparently doesn't give one whit about form factor...
You can put it on a rack shelf/drawer. Super inexpensive and you can put other stuff on that same shelf. Best of both worlds.

I avoid rack mount stuff because it doesn't play nicely with my setup. I don't want to drag a cab, board, head AND rack around. That said, if I ever find a rack mount tube head I like, I may just have to sell my YBA-300 and move to a rack setup.LOL! Well rackmount preamps just don't sell like they used to. "Thru" is likely just a parallel of "In", i.e. an uneffected signal you can use to connect to an amp. (Use the output for the PA and the Thru for your amp if you want to use the pedal to only affect the front of house sound).Ok, brain cramp ... how is the 1/4 "thru" used?
