All Things Must Beat. Share Anything Beatles!!

I think you're being very kind. I had to classify their workflow alongside two famously horrible processes!

I’m two thirds into part One of the Get Back series and I am really enjoying it immensely! I am definitely going to have to watch it again before I go on to part two. A couple of observations:
John Lennon: I was surprised at how much he listened to what was going on. He didn’t speak as much as I would have imagined. I didn’t think he was trying to bulldoze or steamroll over anyone. I think he is definitely the “Rock Star” in the room IMO he has such immeasurable charisma and presence.
Paul McCartney: Although he clearly feels passionately about the music, I didn’t feel like he was “obnoxious” as some have described him. The feeling I had was he was sincerely trying to be helpful. Actually, I thought George was maybe just a little bit defensive in that one confrontation but I can totally see where George was coming from. Paul didn’t really give George a chance to experiment and properly work up his “bit.”
Basically, I was surprised that Paul wasn’t as much of a monster as he has been made out to be.
George Harrison: Oh boy, do I feel bad for George! He kept getting blown off by people. At first, Paul and then later John but the worst was George Martin. I mean it was almost brutal the disregard and disdain that was emanating from George Martin IMO. Harrison was faithful, always there bright and early and ready to work but he almost seems as if he is some sort of a whipping boy or something. People don’t seem to mind walking all over his suggestions, contributions and feelings.
Ringo Starr: The man! I love Ringo’s work ethic. I am surprised about how much attention he was paying toward everything from the music to the decisions that were on the table. He was extremely cooperative and had a good outlook even thought the band had been “grumpy the last eighteen months.”
It was such a treat to see the band working through things together and it was fun just to see them say “good morning “ to each other. As a fly on the wall, one can really get a glimpse into what it was like to be part of the inner circle. This film is nothing like the movie I saw as a little kid where I came away feeling like the band really didn’t like each other and basically just tolerated each other. On the contrary, this film is very entertaining and I can’t wait to see more of it. The impressions of the band this film offers the viewer and the ability to see The Beatles interact with each other is invaluable, amazing, enlightening, insightful and wonderful. I’m a fan

It just hit me. The Beatles were on Ed Sullivan 58 years ago today. 58 years?!?!? I was 10!
More and more I miss how life was back then. It wasn't perfect for all that's for sure. But still.

Funny. I feel the same way about the late 70s, and I'm a huge Beatles fan as well.
Am I the only one who's never read this story? I have to say that it brings many questions to my mind.

It's interesting how more people here seem to relate to George more than any other Beatle.
All four are relatable, at least in character as defined by Brian Epstein. There is no doubt in my mind that he would have held the organization together for a few more years at least.
Oops! Sorry I missed the poll. "Relating to" is such a subjective thing. It can be very hard to relate to their extreme fame and fortune. But it's certainly easy to relate to their very human ambitions and failings when they are exposed.
It's easy to deify and to villify John and Paul as alternating, even competing, leaders of the group while seeing George and Ringo as being "along for the ride". But, of course, there was a lot more to it. People, being people, may relate more to different ones at different times for different reasons. But, in the end, they can all be very relatable.
I know I feel strongly both ways.

Apparently Get Back is coming to theatres in IMAX soon.
Yeah, I kind of picked up on that a little. I can see what you’re saying. I think maybe because George seems to get the shaft from almost everyone and doesn’t really deserve it. Plus George is the youngest Beatle if I am not mistaken.
btw, in part one of the Get Back Series, lol, I love how George, just out of the blue and so calmly and matter of factly says, “Well, I’ll be leaving the band, today.”

IIRC, the IMAX version is only the live rooftop concert, approx. 45 minutes, and not the whole 6 hour+ documentary.
Yeah, blu-ray is much better picture & sound resolution than DVD. But neither seems to have any bonus features, nor the original "Let It Be" movie that was sometimes rumored to be coming wIth it! (Although, there's a blu-ray Collector's Edition that has some photo cards.) 
Agaim, IIRC, the streaming version is/was available in 4K, but I don't see any 4K discs for pre-order yet! What's up wit dat? Maybe they're still hammering out the bonus features & the original "Let It Be" movie to include? (I hope.)

I'm sure this guy sincerely believed what he wrote. But now, almost 60 years later, we're still talking about The Beatles and Ed Sullivan. However, I can't search up anything about this guy or the newspaper he wrote for! Apparently not many people saw things as he saw it.
