Aluminum Neck Club

Anyone looking to go with an aluminum neck, I'd suggest Robot Graves in a heartbeat. Rosser Guitars body with Lace Alumitone pickups

its amazing. I've never played an EGC Bass, so I can't compare it to that, but I do have an EGC guitar with the buzzo neck and an RGI guitar neck

the RGI is a little thicker but it stays in tune much better.

Also, traditionally, I never like P basses because the necks are too wide and too chunky, but I don't mind the RGI at all!

I guess my only other question would be is the neck hollow?

Just sent Alex @ Robot Graves an email asking for official verification, will report back with his response.
Looking forward to using one of his fine necks for a future build at some point myself.

Here's mine. It started life as a DMZ5000 and just played the living piss out of it. The body developed a crack that went through the whole body. If hit hard enough, I'm sure it would split in two. So, I had a luthier build a Les Paul body for it. He also made the cow skull volume knob for it as well. It has a peizo bridge. Later, when my luthier skills get better, I have Variax bass electronics that I am going to install. The picture doesn't do the figuring in the wood justice. That's why there is no mag pickups as well. Why would you want to ruin such a beautiful look?

I threw up a thread in the basses forum about getting a pickguard for for converting my JJ to a PJ, and it came up to move the P pickup closer to the neck a la reggie hamilton. Interesting idea that I hadn't considered much.
