I don't think this is a photo, but an accurate reproduction of what happened 10 days before the end of WW 2.

This is the City my Mother lived in, Dresden, Germany. It is located in Eastern Germany. She was 9 years old when this happened. Yes, those are bodies, which apparently were later burned. There were too many.

She married 2 Americans and I married a British woman. Meaning how stupid is war?? My Family's building was spared, amazingly, and it was quite near the train ststion. The allies missed the station. They were trying to hit it, obviously.
I can't imagine what, at 9 years old, I would do if something like that happened to me. She escaped Communist rule at 19 years old by fleeing to the West in 1958. She was an awesome woman, along with the rest of my family, who somehow survived the war. Also a shot of Dresden today. From ashes to that, amazing.
