Granted you are always taking a chance with amazon warehouse, but they take returns on items they sell, and this is through them.

Still hit and miss with amazon. I have purchased stuff that said that and it it was just the packaging (box) torn up. I have bought several sets of strings from the warehouse and they are usually unopened, just a bend or tear on the cover. One time I get a set that had been on a bass and clipped to short for a regular scale (they were extra longs), and bent at the ends from being on the tuners. Just returned them and amazon covers return shipment. As I stated above, you are taking a chance, but sometimes treasures are found.

A few years ago I got a bass with a stripped truss rod (that wasn't warehouse) and called them because it was the last one. It was one of those that you watch go down by the day until someone jumps on it. Anyway, since it was the last one I was told to hold on to it until the next one came in and they would send it directly to me. Sure enough about a month later a new bass arrived, so I sent the other one back. When I got my CC bill, they had deducted the cost of the one that was returned, so I ended up with a free $1000+ bass.

Last year I purchased a TC Electronic 210 cabinet. Prior to purchase I asked Amazon rep if I decided to return before end of 30 days (as I am a Prime member), can I return it if I cover the shipping? Rep says yes. I get cabinet shipped. I was trying out this and Mark Bass Traveler 2x10. Decided that the TC Cab was not for me. Called to get an RMA and was told by another rep, "Unfortunately there is hazardous materials and you are not allowed to ship that cabinet." I start telling the rep that I was told I could send this back for full refund...the rep says, "We will refund your purchase. You are free to either donate it or do whatever you want with it." So I have it in the bedroom while my main rig (2 x MarkBass Travler 102F with Eden WTX-264) is at the band practice room and used live. I guess it pays to be an Amazon Prime customer!

"only 1 left" it looks like a good candidate for a refin. i wonder what the wood looks like underneath that finish?! might be a set-neck so it could be tough to do. might be worth it just to get that truss rod cover 8-)
