I keep forgetting about this, but everyone should sign up for Amazon Smile. All it really takes is choosing a local charity to support. Our local Humane Society is eligible so we chose that.

Two day shipping doesn’t mean as much when they don’t ship for 5 days.

Unless you specifically choose to do that, Amazon Prime orders ship within a few hours of ordering and arrive within 2 days. And if you DO choose the delayed shipping on purpose, it comes with a $1 credit for a digital movie or MP3's or a $5 credit to Prime Pantry.

I remember seeing that at some point. I also remember there was something about it I didn't like. I've forgotten what it was, but I ended up not signing up for it.

Well...it's my 1st World issues with Amazon Music Player...again.
No doubt, the Sonos app is the way to go (except when Amazon killed all my uploads to their Cloud...took about a week for them to sort it out).

Today, the Amazon Music app for ROKU has been "updated" to Music...for someone with a decent-sized Library...this "upgrade" is a disaster.
Browsing is pretty much dead.
Select an artist & the songs are in alphabetical order vs. by album, etc.
My uploads are grayed-out.
The Amazon Prime freebies are now present (previously not available on ROKU)...but for collectors like me? Who cares!

I can usually find the same stuff I don’t need for a few cents more or a few dollars cheaper on eBay and the shipping is days faster.

I left amazon years ago.

Well, I haven't had issues unless when you buy there isn't the two day option.

Kid you not, I ordered coffee on a Friday and got it on Saturday the next day. That's pretty good service. (and 2 day has never failed me)

I'm ticked about the price increase, but I'ma pay. I use it too much personally.

On more than one occasion I have ordered something with two day shipping and it has arrived the next day instead.

Woot! It just happened again today.
I ordered a wireless trackball this afternoon at 2:00PM my time. Scheduled delivery was Sunday. I'm totally cool with that turnaround.
I just got an e-mail announcing delivery tomorrow, Saturday. I checked the tracking number, it's USPS. With my knowledge of the way they deliver in my hood, I will have my item within 24 hours of placing the order.
Yes Amazon, I love you.

Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods has made Prime an even better deal for us. We do about one quarter to one third of our grocery shopping (by dollar amount) there, and they've had some pretty sweet deals for Prime members since they rolled out the program at our local store a couple weeks ago. Yes, WF ran sales in the pre-Amazon days, but the discounts are often larger now--frequently 40%-50%. And sometimes there's an additional 10% off on sale items.

Yep! Now they seem to be rolling this out gradually, so I don't know if it's available everywhere yet. My mother, who lives in Florida, started seeing Prime sales in WF a month or two before I did here in Chicago.

As @GregC mentioned, it is a gradual roll out. Verify yours is on board, and if it is, you need to be up in there.
It's a 10-15 minute longer drive to the nearest WF for us, but the additional deals and the WF quality make it worth it every time.
We're not in a zip code with WF/Amazon same day delivery, but I am hoping they expand that here soon.
Costco just started same day delivery in our hood, so those dreaded Costco trips are in our rear view mirror now.

Find out from said wife if those are the most valuable points you can accrue, and the rate they accrue compared to other activities you can enjoy together.
For us, eliminating the trips to Costco were a huge time saver.
