Good stuff here @hieronymous

Thanks! I've been spending time everyday with the Bluebox, experimenting with it as a mixer and as a recorder. It came with an old version of the firmware (1.0.8), and a super-tiny micro SD card, so had to get a card reader (ended up getting a USB hub, been needing one of those anyway). Parts of it are intuitive, parts are pretty counter-intuitive (like making new songs, dealing with previously recorded stuff, etc.), but I'm getting there.

I installed the latest version of the firmware this morning - I like the reverb better (even though it has less control) - when I first got it I thought there was something wrong with it - noise - but it was the reverb! Got to experiment more...

Did some more experimenting today - this is kind of what I was envisioning with the drone in Bluedrone - in the original version that was recorded to my iPhone the bass was too loud, so I got to use the Bluebox for the exact reason I got it - to edit the audio! Yay! It worked! Even though I neglected to save before I powered down - still not sure exactly how the Bluebox works in that sense.

I was tempted to run the whole thing through my blueSky reverb, but decided to leave it as-is, as an experiment. I should try a mix with the blueSky, but I need a couple more cables. Maybe do one without the Sirin drone, since that kind of obscures some of the details.

It's not my best performance either, though I like the way the bass sounds (Les Paul Triumph with GHS Precision Flats, Telefunken graphite pick, Tech21 MP40 SansAmp).

More good stuff. That bass tone is killer.

hey, i've been way behind on checking stuff out here, been pretty much down the rabbit hole working on these two large pieces.

i know i put out a lot of stuff . . . somethings are documentation or work/process (but not everything i do) . . . somethings, like this one, are a bit more involved.
two 25-minute pieces; modular synthesizer, polyphonic synthesizers, orchestra instrument samples.
maybe post-romantic semi-glitch ambient (how's that for a sub-sub-niche?)

Nice, but I think you need to go down a few more levels of sub-niche. Like sub to the 10th power or something. This could be music for noiseheads to get intimate to.
