I’m also in a de-accessioning mood. I am going to offer my first ever bass to a singer songwriter who has it on loan and has been making demos with it. I’m going to offer my Ableton Push 2 to a friend who will make better use of it than me.
and in the spirit of giving, here’s my friend Mark Rubel, from whom I learned the basics of recording. You may or may not agree with his comments about Fenders, but the photos in the video are worth the price of admission.

Yeah, I heard that yesterday. They upped the freq by a few billion or something so it was audible. They must have one hell of a subwoofer in black holes.

As an engineer and a space nerd, I will speculate that they can see the wave crests and troughs in the gas clouds using various instruments, measure the distance between the crests, compute the speed of sound in that medium, and do the math to get the frequencies. Maybe.
Take that with a grain of salt, of course, the article didn't explain it in detail other than to say they could measure heat, etc. so I am just making a (barely) educated guess.
Speaking of eerie, I thought this would be the best thread to get some feedback. I'm looking for an eerie Reverb pedal. One that is versatile and can do normal reverb sounds, but is unique and can do stuff no other reverb pedal can do. I already have an Afterneath and Avalanche Run. I was looking into maybe Rooms, Draume, Swan Hunter. Something along those lines. Would you recommend one of those, or something else? Thanks in advance.
Take a look at Empress. The Reverb has a Ghost mode that's great for eerie sounds, and the pedal has a ton of other engines and functions. The Zoia also has the Ghost reverb engine along with some normal/traditional reverb sounds. I have two Zoia boxes, but I don't think they have the "best" sounding effects (the utility is what really makes them work well for me, though I probably underutilize mine). The price is probably a bit more than the others you mentioned, and you might not care about stereo/midi/expression/looper/etc. functions enough to justify the cost.

I haven't used this, but the Dr. Scientist might be worth a look.

Thanks much appreciated. A lot to consider and go through. Are these most everyone's go to reverb for over the top ambient, creepy, eerie, otherworldly sounds on bass?
What does eerie mean to you when speaking about Reverb?
Empress is a big favorite of mine. Draume is really lovely.
Idk, looking for versatility but ghost mode is definitely in the ball park. Empress would be something I'd like to check out.
Also consider Eventide, H9, Space or Blackhole. One way to get weirdo reverb is many, many diffused delays set up in relation to one another.. that’s the Blackhole algorithm. The opposite of realistic, but fabulous.
