it’s only a « solution » for devices than run only on batteries and no PSU.
How many of those are out there these days……my estimate based on zero evidence or google skills would be not many.

It sure seems there aren’t many new products in the battery only department. But there are probably older devices. The Pocket Operator use was the main reason I posted here. I know those have been discussed a few times, and I own a couple.

I have zero knowledge of such devices. I'm simply assuming that in the vastness of the things I know nothing about, it seems plausible that older battery-only devices might exist

Well, look at it this way: At least whatever it is will be ridiculously well-made.
I mean, yeah, when you open it up there's probably nothing inside but a salt crystal under a quartz pyramid ...but it will take unscrewing two dozen mil-spec precision Torx bolts to open it up.

Might be late to the game but I’d recommend the walrus audio slo…
Can be set like a normal reverb
Or set to fully wet with octave down, Hugh modulation and modulation set to “rise” it gets the creepiest sounds ever - my guitarist commented that it was definitely a way to make sure people would feel unsettled…

I saw that movie back in the 80s. It was cheesy but also freaked me out a bit. 5/5 would watch again.

Also consider Eventide, H9, Space or Blackhole. One way to get weirdo reverb is many, many diffused delays set up in relation to one another.. that’s the Blackhole algorithm. The opposite of realistic, but fabulous.

Do you mean in parallel or stacked in series? I'm interested in weird.

Speaking of eerie, I thought this would be the best thread to get some feedback. I'm looking for an eerie Reverb pedal. One that is versatile and can do normal reverb sounds, but is unique and can do stuff no other reverb pedal can do. I already have an Afterneath and Avalanche Run. I was looking into maybe Rooms, Draume, Swan Hunter. Something along those lines. Would you recommend one of those, or something else? Thanks in advance.

Eventide Blackhole's my goto for that. It can get what reverb sounds like in hell. I don't know why that one doesn't get more love around here. It's one of my desert island pedals.

Another suggestion for an uncommon option is the Crazy Tube Circuits reverb. I have a synth with an older version of the CTC reverb in it and it is fantastic. I haven’t tried the stand alone pedals and they’ve changed over a few generations, but might be worth a look.
